Talus vs Dropzone

Postby Talus » Fri Aug 29, 2014 9:17 pm

Well folks, to start this off, i had to make a choice

Project Logs or Dropzone sections... You decide if its in the right place or not! :P

So to kick off, with the collection of my Resistance forces today, i'm getting a shifty on with everything!

For those that are interested, my forces right now consist of this:

UCM:

2x Bear APC
1x Kodiak Command
3x Rapier AA
3x Sabre MBT
3x Condors Dropship
6x Legionnaires
2x Archangel Interceptors

PHR:

7x Neptune Dropship
1x Poseidon Heavy Dropship
2x Juno A1 APC
2x Ares Battle Walker
2x Phobos Battle Walker
2x Erebos Strike Walker
2x Enyo Siege Walker
2x Hyperion Heavy Walker
2x Zeus Command Walker
4x Janus Scout Walker
1x Hades Super-Heavy Walker
2x Triton A1 Strike Dropship
2x Triton A2 Strike Dropship
1x Athena Air Superiority Fighter
4x Immortals
4x Sirens

Resistance:

4x Lifthawk Medium Dropship
2x Kraken Hovercraft
4x Hannibal Battle Tank
6x Gun Wagons
6x Jackson Halftracks
12x Gun Technicals
2x AH-16 Cyclone
1x M3 Alexander (Who i will always refer to as Lex from now on!)
12x Resistance Fighters

All UCM units have been freshly stripped pending a spiffy new paint job, their former camo just wasnt sitting right with me (and was far too close to Cains despite being many shades brighter)

The PHR are roughly half finished, though several units are still bare resin

and as it stands, all resistance units are bare resin, i wont start painting those for a few days yet (once the command contest starts)

but, for now, any and all paint jobs that get going will be posted here! (simply because i want to show off :P)

now though, for those of you that are interested, i have a somewhat bad size comparison for you!

ImageImage

needless to say, the Lex is a LOT bigger than i was expecting! really looking forward to getting paint on that thing =)

More in the next few days once my mojo starts :P

That's a fair amount of stuff to have picked up in a relatively short period of time.

Especially since the resistance models have just come out.

Looking forward to see what you do with these.

I look forward to seeing all 6 of them together.

Plus you still have the rest of the PHR, the resistance and the UCM!

Enough there to keep you busy till at least Friday!

Nicely done all of the Zeuses. (And that's the plural, solves your "plurality" issue! :) )

The Neptune looks very nice as well. Nice work all the way around.

well, i wanted them to stand out more against my other PHR guys

here's what the walkers usually look like:

wasnt happy with just having gold instead of silver, went with a darker red and a different pattern! figured mostly black would be a nice touch :)

Looking good mate. Im still waiting for my Resistance starter box. Hopefully it'll turn up on Monday. Any recommendations as to what else to add to get to 1500pts by any chance :D

Since a large part of the Resistance force won't even be released until mid month with more coming in October, it's best right now to look through the book and see what units might fit your play style.

For other ideas, you could always take a look at this site:

Really liking the rusted panels. I may have to pinch your technique bud.
