UKGT Final....discussion of options

Postby Baragash » Sat Oct 17, 2009 1:14 am

Well, at least I have a painted army on stand by, but let's see how my first choice gets on.

Let's hope I'm more Obi Wan than Gok Wan.....

Since yesterday I've managed:

A quick test to see how quickly I can do the basics:

Built a Vindi:

(added more frontal bling)

Built (head not glued as needs GS behind it) the Daemon Prince Haan'kee'paan'kee:

Silly rules questions, you didn't buy the dozer blade.. will the storm shieldy thing be representing possession.
(I never understood the whole you can model what you don't have and must model what you bought thing a whole grey mushy area for me)
Other than that..looking good darn fast work :D

Well...this is where I'm at right now:

Image

Need to buy (tomorrow):
1 CSM Vindicator
1 box CSM for the special weapons and icons

Need to assemble:
1 CSM Vindicator
Rest of the second DP
2 CSM Flamers, 2 CSM IoCG, 2 CSM Meltas
8 sets of CSM arms
GS the DPs and Vindis

Have ordered:
Black Legion Rhino bits from FW, but I'm assuming they won't arrive in time, so my Thousand Son Rhino will be "first reserve" if that's the case.

YES....FEEL MY COSMIC POWER!!!!!!!!!!*

Although IIRC it's actually "Power Cosmic" for Galactus/Silver Surfer fans.....

Ahem.....*regains an element of decorum* (I blame it on the glue TBH)

I don't think I've felt this much irritation assembling models since I did the Obliterators.....(Haan wan't so bad putting together, but GSing was a pain)..... oh well, need to GS the second DP (who's really unmarked, but he'll do for this).....

I hate assembling metal models. It's a bad kind of hatred though. It's not like a re-roll to hit them or anything.
What are you glueing them with?

Do you pin them? I've found that all my metal models had to be pinned, sooner.....or later. :x
