That was the highlight of the game for me closely followed when the third one fell to a krak missile. :twisted:

Right, Ste can't make it to the club now for the next three weeks, so he was wanting to know what you guys want him to do?

Is there anything in the rules to handle this, if not what does the 'Gamesmaster' suggest?

Will he hae access to this site?
If so he could use a proxy player.
I think as he is winning he may have to appoint a standin for any attacks against him.

From speaking with Chris and Gav I think the campaign will be ending tonight.

There are too many unfinished games and not enough regular attendees to play this one out at present.

Tonight there will only be 4 of the 7 players there, with already 4 matches unresolved, and probably a further 2 or more tonight also, and only 3 weeks left to the proposed ending anyways, it doesn't make sense to play it on.

Ideas for the next campaign can be offered in the new thread: 'Campaign No: 2' That I just started.

The initial campaign brougth an added interest to the club night tho, and for that alone i'd say it was a success. I for one am looking forward to the next. :)

So it was decided to end the campaign last night before any turns were taken, Meaning that Ste nasty Nids are the winners :lol:

We will wait until his triumphant return and then schedule an Apocolypse game.
The idea I had in mind was that Ste would get the Orbital Defence Laser as a functioning Objective for free as his prize and he could choose his Allies. They would defend the laser and those of us left will attack. No holes bared any units or armies you want.
Closer to the time we could think more about adding some additional flavour, Like having to destroy the ODL before the attacker can get his reserves, (Allowing the attacker extensive use of Infaltrators etc to compensate)

Just floating ideas...
So the ODL is preventing the attackers full force from making planet fall, so the first couple of turns is a desperate struggle for the attacker to nuetralise the ODL. Or to distract its fire enough to allow the reserve force (in the space ships above) to land.
