Just while the thoughts are in my head and to start the ball rolling Ive got a few ideas for the upcoming campaign that you can feel free to kick about.

What I forsee is an open campaign that allows us to mix and play with the new members, with this in mind it would be nice to play in the same style as the Firestorm (Flames of War) campaign systems where by we decided who is playing what side - i.e good vs evil - and then turn up and play whoever. So as in Firestorm we fight whover wants a game, with whatever points costs we agree with our opponent. I also like the idea of having to roll for the type of mission we will be playing and to mix it up we should include planet strike / Cityfight etc.

If possible it would be great to play a massive Planetstrike Apoc game to start with and a massive Apoc game at the end to conclude.

What do you guys think - and what time scales are we aiming for here.

Campaign is finished mate, if I make it on Thursday I will show you what I have got and tell the members and hope to start next thursday, if you like we could start bank holiday weekend talk to russ. I am on the same line as thinking as you so what I have done is not to different from your suggestions. Will add the plantstrike/apoc idea tho

You could include some doubles games to help people get into the flow of meeting new people.

Sounds good but is it possible to do a large Planetstrike/APOC games on an evening? Having played APOC with KinG & co and it took all day

Agreed Skywalker we couldnt do it in an evening, the idea was to do the initial planetastrike on a weekend (Sunday) or possibly the Bank Holiday - and get as many as we can along and that will also serve as an Ice breaker for the meet n greet aswell. This may be too ambitious at this time tho so I'll see what Mr Bane has planned we could do doubles to start off but i still think a planet strike game would be the fluffy way to begin.

yes it would be... maybe a sunday might be a better idea then as many will be busy on the bank holiday.

weekends are bad for me generally, what with the extension going on at home.. but not impossible.

however, with alot of pre organisation, enuff to come to the club and put models down and start playing, a small 6k apoc game is not impossible to achieve in 5 hours, finishing approx 12.30pm.

I think a Sunday is best for large games as trying to fit one in on a club night might cause issues, people not being able to stay till 12.30, the game over running etc.

Didn't some one mention a thread for the 40k doubels thing that's going to be starting up soon..... I'd like to show my support for it, but I'm not seeing where to do so?

I don't think I'll get to the UK to play in the campaign, but I'd be interested to see it anyway.
