Doubles Tournment

Postby BANE » Thu Aug 26, 2010 6:06 pm

Ok, so we are going to be kicking off a 40k doubles tournie soon, it will be open to all club members and will take place on normal club nights 1930-2300.
The format is as follows:
1000pts per team member taking from any currently in print GW codex.
FOC:
01- HQ
1+ Troops
Elities, Fast Attack and Heavy Support = No. of Troops taken, ie. if you take 1 Tropp choice you can then take a maximum of 1 of each Elities, Fast Attack and Heavy Support. Once you take a 2nd Troop you can then take a further 1 Elities, Fast Attack and Heavy Support so this will become a maximum of 2 of each of theses choices, so on and so forth to a maximum of a normal FOC.
Teams will be created at random after all army rosters are subbmitted.
Tournie will be take place over 7 games, each mission in the 40K BRB will be played twice with random deployment types, the 7th game will be a special 'Battle Mission'.
Tournie points will be scored 5 for a win, 3 for a draw, 0 for a loss and a massive 10 for the 'Battlemission'.
Victory points will also be recorded and used to determine the winning team in the event of tied Tournement points.
Once you enter the tournie you will be obliged to complete all the games, No dropping out!
The games will be played over a flexible timeframe to allow all to play.
They will be a prize for the winning team
Games are still to be played in a friendly manner tho!

If you are interested post on here of let me know at the club.

I'll be very interested in taking part... I've no idea about how to work out victory points, but I'm sure I'll pick it up. When will be the deadline for roster hand in?
What, no image sigs!

Hey Al, what's happening with this?
Sounds like it could be fun. Count me in providing I can find a team-mate to fight alongside
