If you have to ask, you're not yet in a position to get one ;)

see here. ;)

to continue Culven's pub analogy, having a custom title is a bit like having a personalised pint glass hanging behind the bar. :)

now, Spacks the landlord, so anyone after a tankard with their name on is going to have to ask him...

EDIT: beaten to it! :P

I am not certain I follow unless it is to say that after so long the guys just give you a nickname that is placed.

I wasn't asking for one, I was just curious about the origin.

Edit: I haven't actually been to a British Pub. I have just seem them on TV (like the Eastenders).

ahh. no, we get to choose them ourselves (once we are given the ability to have them) and change them as we like. :)

my first job ever was working weekends in a pub (my best friend's family's place) - i started when i was 14 and left when i was 18 (i had a full time job by then too, and when i met Kate something had to give or we would never get any time togther) i then moved back to Lincolnshire with Kate the next year, and then worked in a pub there for a year too - i only left because we were moving back to Swansea (really loved that job - wish i hadnt left it now). and the weird thing is that these days i dont even have a "local". :P

there was a point to this... oh yeah: pubs are cool.

~ Tim
p.s. oh and as to Eastenders - in terms of the day to day stuff, that gives a pretty good representation of the real thing, actually (not so much the weird stuff, like bodies in the cellar  or gangsters smashing the place up, but the normal things, like the staff, the customers, the atmosphere, the conversations etc) :)

I'm intrigued how many bar staff does this pub have, I think I've spotted 8+ people with 5 stripes (rank badges) representing moderator generals. How many are there in total? I take it the others are off on sick leave after the battle of the bands night got a bit raucus.must be a bit crowded serving when all of you are in :D

you should be able to see a list of Mods: click "Usergroups" then pick "Moderators" from your "Non-member groups" dropdown list. :)

i tend to polarise people - they either love me or hate me (;)) - Lord "Marmite" is a play on that fact:

'eres an orks take on all this weedy stuff.

when you is starting, you is just a yoof, and no one likes yoofs, cos dere all runty like and zoggin' weedy. After a few scrapes, dey gets a bit bigger and become one of da boyz. Now, most of dem gits is going to stay as boyz, maybe make it to skarboyz at some point, if dere kunnin' enough to survive and whatnot, but thats it for most boyz.

some of us is special. Some of us is mates of the warboss, some of us are warbosses of rival tribes. Whatever the reason, we is bigger and stronger dan everyone else, and if any boyz steps out of line, we has da power ta krump dem with a choppa.

'cos we is bigger and badder dan all da uvver orks put tagetha, we gets ta bring that to dese "elecktronik" fings.

So just play nice, or wez krumpz ya...

;)
