New poll time, the old thread was getting messy and didn't have the new designs in the poll.

Elements in the logos can be mixed or adjusted, and sizes changed too. Please vote on the logo you prefer, but if you think the fonts or background should be adjusted please also post comments (for instance, if you like the font in logo 1, but the overall design of logo 9, vote for 9 and post a comment saying you voted for 9, but would prefer the font in logo 1).

I voted for 4, but like the all lowercase as in logo 9.

what happened to this one?

the ones with the stone/concrete background dont look quite right to me (not that theres anything wrong with the effects, just that a stonbe background doesnt suit metal letters, IMO), the white background looks to plain and clean, but it does look better with some sort of background than it does with none.

trust me to be a pain...

Personally, I really like logo 1. I was very happy with the background, and the overall dirty rusty old look to it. Problem is, I'm not sure it's a good basis for a site redesign - could you imagine the whole site in that bright rust colour?

Tim, just for you I made up 10 and 11. Any good?

I voted 1, though I like 7 and 9 more in the abstract. If the site is not going to be completely overhauled it's probably important to match the current style / illustrations immediately below the location of the logo. Something in that color scheme maybe? 7 and 9 were too different in style and color to match, having one of both differ can work I think, but both at the same time is a bit much.

#5, but clean like #9? dont know. ive got a new monitor now, and the rust is looking very red (as opposed to orangey-red).

my vote goes for anything except with a concrete/stone background. that any help?

To be awkward i voted for number 7 i still think it looks good from my amazing 1 years worth of graphic desgin training. Admitedly i was a bad graphic designer but thats not the point.
