Rearranging forums

Postby Spack » Wed Jul 31, 2013 3:53 pm

In case nobody noticed, a few of the forums have been moved around and a couple of new ones created. There's a new Painting & Modelling section which has had the Painting & Modelling forum from Other moved into it, as well as Project Logs and the new forums Competitions and Tutorials. Painting competition posts from Events have been moved into the Competitions forum, and the Tutorials folder is locked down so that only members of the Articles Contributors group can post to it for the time being, although moderators can move posts they fell relevant into it if they wish.

Any comments? Or suggestions for any other reorganising of the forums?

Given the way conversation usually develops around here, why don't you move everything apart from the club forums into "Off Topic" ;) :P

Well of course it is.

I turn my back for 2 seconds :oldfist :oldfist
Meh... I reckon we should just have 4 big different coloured buttons on log on, or any sort of approach to forums
1) Clubs
2) Painting stuff
3) Selling stuff inc kickstarters promos and all other stuff to do with selling or hyping (yes inc FW newsletters etc).
4) talking bout "stuff".
The 4 are mutually exclusive but then within the subgroups go all over the shop. We don't need a 5th that actually relates to games or anything.
- No need for MTG or gordies forum gone the way of Trafalgar dump in a holding cell forum with 3rd ed crons.

Increase last active post slots to 6-8 since stickies are back thoughout this year and stuff to compensate for above.
Barely even lurking..

i agree about the last active, but also the need to increase the number of stickies that show at the top of it, since there are now two contest threads running at any one time, posting in one overrules the other and vice versa,

which reminds me, im off to bump the potm thread

as for the rest, personally i think it works well as it is, everything has its own section, its all clearly marked

If your not gonna create a seperate sub fora for *competing* groups.. then lets completely ditch the last used thing to avoid this /\/\/\.
