So PDF only is fine? Didn't someone want both?

I've just added RTF as an allowed format.

Tim, you don't need Word to open an RTF - Write should be able to handle it ;)

no, you misunderstood - Matt sends me RTFs because i can open them, where as i cant open Word DOCs. but as i can open PDFs, i dont need this as a RTF (so i dont mind it just being available as PDF & DOC).

(hope that made sense) :)

Actually I sent you RTFs because that's what I originally saved it as anticipating possible issues (like you Tim!).

I'll only upload the RTF is someone really wants it. No point cluttering things up otherwise :)

anyway, here are a few for your list:

- Shooting at Vehicles: can your own cover provide Obscured Targets rolls to the enemy? (RaW = yes, GaP = no, Cover Saves precedent = no)
- Sz 2 Jetbikes hovering over Sz1 Terrain: do they shrink (for LOS purposes)? (RaW = yes, GaP = no, Skimmers precedent = no)
- Ordnance Blasts: how do we count hits? (RaW = N/A - rules dont cover it, GaP = as per normal Blasts, RaI = method unconfirmed, but it is supposed to be posible)

hope that helps :)

Hi All,

Ben PM'd me with a request to post my pre-game checklist, which will follow.

Apologies to all, but this list has not been updated since the GW forums went south, so is quite possibly erronious/incomplete.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problems include:
1) Being able to save using an invul save, and allocating the wound resulting from a failed save to a different model (GW forgot the obvious 'any model using a different save must take the wound if it fails the save' sentence).
and
2) How to resolve 'more wounds than models' and 'invulnerable saves'. Imagine a single unit containing one model with no invul, two models with an invul, all have the same armour save, and are wounded by four AP2 hits. Ignoring ToF issues, how many invul saves are made? Is it 2 (only two models have an invul save, so only 2 can save), 3 (one wound on each model, and the wrap around wound on an invul model) or all 4 (place wounds sequentially until all invul saves are failed). IMO we should play it as 3 saves, but RaW indicates 2 saves are all that is allowed (only wrap wounds when using mixed-armour saves, so can only save one wound per invul model).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here goes some easy ones:

Terrain effects: Is it possible to see over ht3 terrain? Is a size 2 unit on top of a size 3 hill with size 1 low walls going to be at height 2,3 or 5?

LOS effects: Do vehicles and MCs have a 360 degree LOS with regards to infiltrating?

LOS effects: how much of a target needs to be visible?

LOS effects: Are restrictions to who can be hit also applied to all 'special' mechanisms, eg majority toughness, mixed armour, etc.

LOS effects: When facing mixed AT/WYSIWYG LOS do we use both methods?

LOS effects: Are Defiler legs/Dreadnought arms/Tank turrets a valid target?

LOS effects: How do we handle direct-fire Ordnance casualties when they are out of LOS?

LOS effects: If you cannot see the facing side of the vehicle targetted, can you have LOS to it?

IC Movement: Can an IC leave one squad and join another squad in one movement phase?

IC Movement: If an IC leaves a squad, does the squad count as having moved?

IC movement: Can an IC use an enhanced movement rate when leaving a basic infantry squad (ie jump pack, bike, demonic speed, etc)?

Range: If you have a skimmer, do you use the footprint or the flying base?

Casualty removal, floating wounds and instant-kill effects: Is it intentional that GW removed floating wounds?

Assaults into ongoing combats in terrain: if there is already a combat going on in terrain, do the defenders gain I10 against a new wave of attackers?

Assaults: does a multi-initiative model lose attacks in multi-combat assaults? You can kill models in BtB from one squad with a high-initiative attack from a multi-initiative model, but still be in BtB with another unit when that model gains it's low-initiative attacks. Does it lose the other attacks?

Assaults: If you are in BtB contact with an enemy vehicle, can you attack it on future turns when you are not actually locked in combat?

Assaults: Does assault requirement for BtB have to be applied in scenarios where it is impossible to position a model in BtB (say, on a staircase)?

Assaults: Do you pile-in when consolidation locks a new opponent?

How do you play familiars? Could all based and statted wargear be clarified with an USR?

Shooting: Range 24" does/does not allow 1st turn shooting?

Shooting: AP1 vs skimmers moving fast, does equals equal penetrate?

Assaults: Can you penetrate skimmers in CC?

Assaults: Range 6" does/does not allow an assault?

Wounding and Instant Death: If the target has an admantium mantle, can a wound that would otherwise cause ID be negated by (a) bionics, (b) narcethium?

VtB and instant death: which is applied first?

Template coverage: does this determine the absolute maximum of models affected, or could special rules modify this? (note this is due to VtB and instant-death effects).

VtB on vehicle squadrons: Verify that that particular model recieves the two hits from the special rule.

'Occupying' Terrain: Do you use normal cover conventions, 1+ model or entire squad?

H-K missiles: Can they be chosen for armament-destroyed results, (a) before being used, and (b) after being used?

ATSKNF: Are you aware just how SMs fall back and re-group (ie they don't unless it is the LMS)?

Orky specific clarifications:
How is the Ork fallback corridor modified?

Do slugga boys upgrades keep the choppa?

Are burna mob mekboys UC or IC?

Can a warboss join a grot squad? What happens if they fail morale?

Does a grot slaver with a destroyed grot mob count as a grot mob or a normal boy?

Vehicle squadrons: Are you aware that you only hit kans that you are in BtB with, whilst they hit as a squad?

Artillery: Do grot artillery get cover saves from the gunz?

Artillery: Are attached slavers/meks considered to be krew? If not, can they fire their own weapons?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above list is the reasion why I will nowadays only play friendly games, not competative ones.

That's all from me. Remember: Have Fun!
