hello.

I have been idle for rather long.
I used to be in the IRC channel some time back but IRL life have been taking over for some time and I havn´t had access to my computer as well.

I mentioned back then that it would be cool to have a homesite linked to the channel an Spack made the forum for us and I gave him a design (the frontpage layout) and he worked the rest =)

I now wonder if anyone in here are interested in me doing an upgrade.
with the help of Spack.

I will do a few layouts and as well write some info on intended features etc. and we will have a vote and Spack will try to make what he can to make it working.

I PM:ed Spack about this some days ago and he said that it was a nice idea only if we let you all guys (and gals) make a vote for what you think.

and that is fair. as it´s you who will be using the site in the end =)

so now. anyone object against this? and anyone got ideas?
this is just a suggestion and nothing final =)

some may say 'why fix what isn´t broken' and well. the site works fine.
but maybe some people want a new layout as the site is growing.

A new site layout would be pretty cool! This one's great though.

Perhaps if we had two or more skins and then everyone can choose which one they want to use aa they feel like it.

Skinning is an option. The problem is that some of the changes might require some PHP recoding that won't fit the existing skin, although I'll see how it goes before ruling the idea out completely.

as said, skinning is one idea ...

and maybe it can be done.

if we decide to change the design that is now for another we may do colorvariations and maybe other smaller changes within the new design.

like a light and a dark theme. maybe a few different forum layouts etc.

but I will present a few designs in a near future. I get my computer in a week and after that it may take a week or two depending on inspiration, time I got for it and such =)
