Heh, I might just have to add that :P

Right, next up I need to fix the view latest unread post handling - it's not perfect, it always take you to the first unread post after you have logged in on the current session id. So for instance, you click on a topic title and read it, go look at another topic, someone posts to the first topic again and you click on the recent topics link and it takes you to the same post you were at last time, not the newest one; however, if you don't view anything long enough, it'll work as expected.

UPDATE: I think I've found a fix for the newest post issue, but I'm still testing it to see if it actually works.

UPDATE: Noticed than when scrolled down the popup forum first/last pop wasn't in the right place in IE. I think I've fixed this now, tested in IE7, IE6 and FF2 and it works fine in them, but if anyone uses another browser I'd appreciate it if they could let me know if it's broken.

UPDATE: adjusted the glossary a little GEQ and GEQs should now both work. However, MEQ/GEQ won't because in order to avoid messing up URLs any symbol that is found in generally found in a URL ( & _ - / ; ) that is touching a "word" will cause that "word" to be ignored for glossary handling. To ensure glossary entries are correctly handled please keep white space around the terms (eg. MEQ / GEQ )

Traitor Legionnaire is perfect, tho KMB is an ugly spawn as a fact :rofl

Just a suggestion off the top of my head:

rank 0 = 0-49
rank 1 = 50 - 199
rank 2 = 200 - 499
rank 3 = 500 - 999
rank 4 = 1000 - 4999
rank 5 = 5000+ aka LordMalekTheRedKnight :rofl

maybe the gaps are big, but it gives you a better sense of achievement and definitely something to hunt for! :D
FACT: I do like the sites avatar gallery!

At the moment the ranks are 1-99, 100-499, 500-999, 1000+. There isn't a 5th rank attainable unless I assign you a special rank ;)

talking of Ranks, can Mods get custom titles? :?: 8)

on a different topic:
- would it be possible to number the posts in a thread
- is there a way of linking to a specific post in a thread
?

cheers :)

You can already link to a specific post in a thread. Look at the sheet of paper icon in front of the word Posted on the top line of your post. ;)

well that answers that question then. :P
cheers!

maybe the icon could be made a bit bigger? or, if the posts get numbered, it could be replaced with a clickable post number, instead (like Warseer)?

something that might be useful is a tutorial page, with diagrams showing all the different buttons and bits of information on the page, explaining what they do/are... :)

(no, that wasnt me volunteering :P)

cheers

Tim, you already have a custom rank! If you want a different title, just let me know ;)

As to the post number link, I think I can sort that. Leave it with me.

Number of posts is already shown in the Recent posts and the Forum view - it's the Replies column + 1 ;)

Did you check the Forum FAQ link?

UPDATE: I've added the post number to the upper right, and moved the Quote and Edit buttons to the bottom right.

UPDATE: At the end of a page, at the bottom left, is a page number string like "Page 1 of 1" I've added the total number of posts in the topic there. Is that too subtle?

i actually ment the post number in that particular thread, e.g. the OPs post will be #1, the first reply will be #2 etc. is that possible?

cheers :)

Tim, I'll take a look. It should be possible working from the page number being shown, the number of posts being shown, and the post number on the page. I'll post an update when I'm done :P

UPDATE: like that?
