Hey all :)

just wanted to post to say "Thank You!" to Chromedog for sending me the Mortar shells (plus an extra Mortar) that i needed. they arrived in great condition in good packaging, and i would be confident doing further trades in the future.

its good to know that despite the demise of GW's Bitz service, we can still get the things we need.

cheers mate! :)

If need be, you could always go to the war store, Neal bought the stock of battlewagon bits here in the states.

Trading is still far cheaper and a good starting place.

i was under the impression that BWB only sold plastic components? (the shells i needed were the metal ones from the classic HW Teams)

cheers :)

They have a whole section of pewter bits packs;

And they have these heavy weapon bits (but these look to all be plastic)

Like I said, when all else fails, they are worth a shot. I think Neal said they will be putting out an electronic bits catalog in the future (due to GW legal issues) but for now they have a printed version. I usually find what I need just by browsing through all the sections.

Thanks for the vote, Tim.

While I have an understanding and incredibly forgiving wife, she does like me to de-crappify my workspace occasionally. To this end, I will, every so often, go through my bitz collection and cull stuff I'm not going to use, or haven't come up with a use for yet.

She even lets me get rid of stuff free-post (in that I pay the shipping, not you). I'm fortunate to live where our postage costs aren't exhorbitant (for outgoing, but we are still expensive to ship to).

I'll keep an eye on the trading post to see what else I can get rid of (heh, heh).
