Ranhothep wrote:Why would one need friends for an over £100 order? :) Well, I have to say that when I compared prices from your site with what I payed to our local for the recent few boxes of chaos, I guess Im gonna land the Orks Pre-release with you :) (lets see what shipping charges we will have for inside Europe)

why, where do u live exactly?

KInG, didn't you read the location under his avatar? "Sunny Slovakia" may well mean he's in Eastern Europe ;)

As this isn't a rules question, I'm moving it to the Trading Post ... (queue slow drum beat and booing from the crowd)

Ok Ranhothep - to work out the cost we would be charging for postage:

1. create a 'wish list' on our site by pressing 'buy' (don't worry nothing is confirmed at this point) on the items you would like to purchase. if you then look in the checkout page it will tell you the total weight of your order.

2. take that total and look on Royal Mail's site, on the airmail page: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... d=53800712 for Small Packets to Europe. that is the price you pay for your delivery.

GF make nothing on delivery, whatever we pay, you pay.

Hey! It cant get any more central, than the heart of Europe - Slovakia. Leave Eastern Europe for the Russians and stuff!

Thanx for the royal mail webpage. I saw the weights mentioned on GF, so it shouldnt be a problem calculating. As I said, Ill be considering the Orks Pre-release deal, so there isnt much to work out a wish list from atm...

Thanx KInG

That is very true

I may have to invest in the little greenskins myself this time, they sound so much fun from what I've heard so far.

I wanted to see if there's a list in their codex that is just so hit n miss that I could field it just for a laugh. The more things that explode and scatter all over the board the better for me like. I like the idea of them winning purely to luck, and nothing to do with tactics or skill, or loosing so badly that the other player thinks, wtf was that I all about, where'd they go?? :?:

Hahaha, yeah, that is a great game of orcs when you end up killing more of your own models than your opponent does.

(Once playing WHF Orcs, I managed single-handedly to kill off nearly 500 points of my own army...Fanatics going hay-wire, shamans blowing up, warmachines exploding and Squigs going ballistic...it was funny as hell...)

that's the army I want you all to help me create when the time comes :D

Did you have fun playing against Cobby's orks then? You should try coming down again and playing against Dead Boy (da_grot here on AoS) - his orks are a laugh a minute :)

you are a masochist....! I want my orks to bash and smash and crush all things not green! and only, only if there isnt anything else left, they may have a go at themselves

Frankly, I dont like the "comedy-style" orks at all. They have been pushed into that niche in the past, but there shouldnt be anything funny about someone getting his head chopped off by a choppa after being filled with lead from a dozen sluggas :D
I like the orks that are a real threat equal to tyranids or Chaos if they let loose!

I didn't mean that Orks are in themselves comical - it's just that da_grot has a playing style which makes them feel haphazard (although deadly along with it), especially as almost every model has been converted in some way.

Is there picts of this army? Would love to see some good or just funny conversion work done on orcs...

Unfortunately no. I'll try to take pics next time I'm down the club. He does have pics of his "Grotnought" in his gallery though : http://www.ageofstrife.com/gallery/da_grot

To give you an idea, he has a wide variety of vehicles - from the Eldar Falcon with rotorblades, to the Dark Eldar Raider on wheels, and a Tau based buggy with Drones for wheels. His Cyborks are all hand converted using bits he's collected from all over the place.

I should start posting pics of my wip orks in the near future. A teaser: My boyz ride on real HMMWVs (Hummers) :D and there arent two identicaly models in the army (i HATE identical models, god bless multi-part plastics)
