I know when I've dealt with guys in the EU, if they supply us a VAT number we can sell without VAT added. But not sure if that works across the pond too... I can't think why it wouldn't.

Is the pound that bad that we are now a viable option to US?

VAT is applicable to all overseas orders, IF that country applies VAT to its goods.. So you'd get the VAT inclusive price from GF IIRC.

Likewise, if I'd ordered from U.S. and the state has sales tax, it would be added to the price.

Confused?

Yes you are a great option now. What is a VAT number? I have not ordered online except via ForgeWorld.

I am very confused. Sales tax is only added to online orders if there is a retail location in your state. So if Time Wizard orders from Neal he pays tax but I do not. I pay sales tax for GW but not at my new place. I know if I fly over I get my VAT back when I leave but I was hoping shipping is the same.

It has always been the prerogative of half-wits and fools to point out the Emperor has no clothes, but the Emperor remains the Emperor, and the half-wit remains a half-wit.-The Sandman (The friendly ones)

"You need to provide evidence of a postal export for orders outside the EC. In addition, any EC companies making a purchase may be able to submit their VAT number to you requiring you to zero rate the invoice."

That was from the forum link Toby supplied, so I was right regarding the EC (EU). But as for the US that site says no VAT charged to countries outside the EC(EU).

That needs confirming, because I was not aware of that.
