Moving House = BIG CLEAR OUT!

Postby LordMalekTheRedKnight » Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:28 pm

Hey all :)

I am moving house soon, and as a result I wont have anywhere near as much space for hobby stuff as I do at the moment (no more games room...). I have lots of boxes of models that were originally destined for greatness that have never been touched, and I think now is a good time to admit that I am probably never going to get round to them. I can post more specifics soon, but off the top of my head I have:

- Lots of plastic SM stuff, still on the sprues
- Necrons (mostly still on sprues or just out of the blisters, some loose bits)
- Tallarn Desert Raiders (bare metal, straight out of the blisters)
- COD Terrain (the majority of the big City box, clipped off sprues)
- Thousand Sons squad (still in box) + Horrors
- GW plastic Craters (several packs worth)
- Amera Plastic Terrain

There may be more, too - I still need to sort a lot of boxes out.

I also have my old Undead army for WHFB, which is used (some painted, some unpainted).

Let me know if you are interested in something, and I can get it out and make up a list of exactly what I have. As usual, I dont charge for packaging, and I only charge enough for postage to cover what it costs to send the item.

Any questions, just fire away!

Cheers :)

Hi Tim,
What Necron stuff and interested in the SM stuff.
The amera stuff sounds interesting, I've never bought it being over the pond, but I have no prob covering shipping.
Let me know.

What do you have in the way of Undead?

P.S. You have my condolences on the loss of your games room. I will be facing the same fate in a year or so.

I'm interested in the thousand sons, the horrors(how many),the SM (what from what boxes?), the cities of death, and i guess the amera.. (basically not the guard, the crons or the craters) I would be interested to see what your undead consists off.. just because i used to have a huge haul of zombie dragons and such.. I won't out bid culven though :D
But you know I'm a tight arsed weasel only going for stuff below super discount of 'king'dom.. so do you want to see what others put on the table first? You know I'm not rushed about this kind of thing :D

Re loss of games room, its all about versatility chaps..Matt may have a dedicated games hall, others may have dedicated communal areas.. some of you may even have painting "offices".
With child number 1 I lost the room that was the second biggest in the house (which was mine+spare room)..with number 2 I lost the areas around that. The office at the moment contains a shed load of stuff but thats only because I'm redorating the front room(normally its 40k free)- so the door can open, you can sit down in a chair and you can type..you can't see or move anywhere else.. Normally in a working household (with 2 kids at home) stuff is 60-70% in the attic on rotation (attic could also be a basement (off the floor),could be garage shelves, could be trusted friends attic and a reminder on your fridge) the current stuff is on high (only people who won't bash it can reach it) shelves..9 foot of length (about 3 foot of height..4+ft from the floor).. with that I can not only "hot desk" all of my current painting, field 3 of my current 1500 armies and host games night with terrain and ljundhammers kindly donated 2x2ftx6ft planks (and a green throw for the floor/2nd table if people get bored)..which have always hot desked as our gaming table. See sig link..(and things have been a lot tighter fitting than those photos indicate of late)

Basically it takes a family table on time share, some high shelves and the hobby goes on..don't sell off stuff you'll only want to buy again next spring.
Barely even lurking..

Culven wrote:What do you have in the way of Undead?

I have:

- 7 mounted Wights (inc. Musician & Standard Bearer)
- 1 Banshee
- 1 Ghost (single model, used as a Banshee)
- 15 Wights w/Halberds (inc. converted Musician and Standard Bearer)
- 15 Skeletons w/Spears
- 1 Necromancer

I have shields for everything (plastic undead ones and Blood Dragon ones), although they arent attached yet to make it easier to paint the models. Some of the Skellies are painted, but most is bare metal/plastic. I might have some more bits, but that is all I can find for now. The army comes in a figure case too (old style GW one, where each half was self contained).

I am going to keep the Vampires for now. ;)

timewizard wrote:What Necron stuff

- 12 Necron Warriors (still on sprues)
- 8 Necron Warriors (partially assembled to varying degrees - I have removed the tubes on the front of the Gauss rifles, since they look better without them IMO)
- 9 Scarabs (still on sprues) - enough for 3 bases
- Necron Lord w/Res Orb
- 3 Wraiths
- 5 Immortals

I have bases and green rods for everything (none of the rods are glues in, dont worry!).

I am keeping all my painted Necrons for now. Everything above is "as new", barring the partially assembled Warriors (because they are partially assembled :P).

mortiferum wrote:Bit of a long shot, any Cadian bits (Torsos and arms)?

No, sorry. :(

cgra1 wrote:Id be intrested in the Necrons and any SM stuff can you provide a list please?

Marines:
- All the Marine stuff from AoBR - Termies, Dread, Marines, Captain (although I might want to keep the Termies...)
- 2 Razorbacks (could be used as Rhinos)
- 1 Whirlwind (could be used as a Rhino)
- 5 Sniper Scouts
- 4 BFM Marines (inc. Missile Launcher & Flamer)
- BFM Sgt (clipped together)
- 15 Marines
- bits to make another 5 Marines (still on sprues)
- Various partly used sprues (remaining bits still on sprues: Dev Sprues inc. 7 Heavy Weapons; Command Sprues inc. Standards, Power Fists, Special Weapons etc; Tac Sprues inc. Missile Launchers, Flamers etc)
- 14 RTBO1 (Rogue Trader!) Marines (inc. Missile Launcher, Flamer, Power Fists etc, all still on sprues, except a couple of painted bits to replace missing pieces)

I should have bases for everything, and some Transfers too if you want them. I have Vehicle Accessory Sprues for the Vehicles, but they have had various bits removed (for my AdMech). I can check for specific pieces if you need me to.

killmaimburn wrote:I'm interested in the thousand sons, the horrors(how many),the SM (what from what boxes?), the cities of death, and i guess the amera.

I have bits to make a 9-man 1KSons Squad, inc. Sorceror and Icon Bearer, plus 9 Horrors.

CoD is basically the whole City Box (the £100 box, that contained £150 worth of stuff) minus what I used to make a couple of buildings. Remember my thread?
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1664
(I never made the Church on the last page, so those bits are still unused)
I will throw in the storage box shown in the thread too.

Amera:
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1509&hilit=amera&start=15
http://www.amera.co.uk/product.php?range=z
I have:
- Z204 Bastion Stronghold
- Z216 Fortified Barricade
- Z230 Redoubt.

Done a little bit of cleaning, but mostly untouched since it arrived.

---

I have also found:

- 2 WHFB Harpies (straight out of blister)
- 1 WHFB Mounted Chaos Lord/Knight w/Axe & shield (tail from plastic horse missing, but I might be able to find one)
- 1 40K Catachan Melta Gun Guardsman (straight out of blister)
- 1 40K IG Commissar w/Bolter (assembled and undercoated)
- 2 40K Preachers ("Firestarter" and chainsword, glued to bases but otherwise untouched)

As usual, I have bases for everything.

---

If anyone is interested in the Tallarns or Craters I can inventory those too (IIRC Tallarns: 25 models inc. Special/Heavy/Sgts/Alrahem; Craters = 2-3 packs of normal ones and 1 pack of Planetstrike ones).

Any more questions let me know,

Cheers! :)

Hmm . . . I will have to give the Undead a pass as I already have more than enough of the listed models.

Thank you for listing the items.

They are multipart plastics (from the set that came with gravestones).

Culven wrote:Hmm . . . I will have to give the Undead a pass as I already have more than enough of the listed models.

No worries mate. :)

Ogregut wrote:Hey!How much for the Craters?

I have 20 in all - 4 sets of 5 (one set is Planetstrike, the others are the normal Moonscape ones). RRP is £9.80 a set - I will sell them for a fiver instead (i.e. £1 a crater).

Socaddict wrote:Very interested in the partly used marine sprues if someone hasn't already called dibs on them.

I would rather sell things as lots, but if that isnt possible I will break things up and sell them separately. At the moment I am just gauging interest and trying to see who wants what.

Cheers :)

I don't think selling all the spru is one clump is the best idea tim, you've got such diverse stuff.. people who've been in the hobby for more than a year aren't (generally) going to need a dev spru and a command spru.(especially with holes in sight unseen..e.g. buying the lot just to find out you bought them for exactly the same bits they bought them off you for)

BTW if anyones not bidding on some stuff because I mentioned it..heres where I am.(thank you for any consideration shown)

I asked my lot..and they already have enough terrain. I I take loan bits from players..so if they're good I'm good. My lot do however say that if Tim sells the city box for somewhere around £55-£60 someones getting a storming deal (in PMs he's said
I have used 18 wall pieces, and I still have about 120 left (so as a guide, I have only used about a 7th of the box). Each wall piece is 3" tall and 2" wide (and some are 4" wide with double doors), so that gives you some idea of how vast the kit is.

So no longer fighting for terrain.. (although might have a smidgeon thrown into a trade if it doesn't sell and tim wants more cash)

I don't want the AOBR or BFM marine stuff (already got 2 sets and about 7000 points of general marines)
I don't need the rogue trader rare stuff, Don't need the scouts..Don't need the whirlwind.

Negotiations are ongoing re tzeentch stuff, razorbacks and some weaponry(melta specific)/vehicle upgrades(general bling rather than useful). But my offer is low and tim would be exceptionally happy if someone sniped in and offered him £70 for that lot. (and as a lowest bidder weasel I wouldn’t be territorial about it :D)
