yesterday saw the release of Legacy of Romulus!

in case you havent guessed it yet

PLAYABLE ROMULANS

(and Remans where applicable)

new ships, new missions, new awesomeness, the story line really is fantastic!

with this comes the release of new level 50 endgame missions such as a shuttle defence mission, defend a romulan city in a 5 man team with nothing but shuttles!

despite the way that sounds, its really quite fun!


you allign yourself with either federation or klingon forces at level 10, you can fly the ships of your ''allied'' team untill tier 5, use their officers and stations (its funny seeing people stop and watch you as your run past them on earth space dock!), and you join the fleets of your allied faction (hint hint)


its a 10gig patch, almost all of the textures have been redone for the release, with focus put on optimisation for lower spec systems, but at high res, everything looks... beautiful!

My laptop is struggling at the mo with games, the fan switches on instantly and even with underslung cooling added the keyboard gets warm 10 minutes into a game (any game post 2007 really).
Does the low res have a low res post patch single download that is a bit smaller? (No promises as currently looking after poorly offspring into half term whilst also promising Lh to look into many game systems..but somewhere down the list of things I won't do.)
