Ove the past few months I've not played World of Tanks, having been convinced to play War Thunder Air Arcade by a couple of close friends. We generally play whatever the mission dictates - bombing if there are bases and hard targets to bomb, landing on airstrips to capture in ground domination, that sort of thing. We're not going for high numbers of kills, we're trying to make sure the team wins.
We only play random battles, and only play Air Arcade - played one Realistic battle, took ages before I found an enemy to shoot at, crashed into the sea, suffice to say it was boring and not fun! Generally we're playing at BR 2.0 to 3.0 as we're still unlocking planes, and I'm usually running either my British or German squadrons as they're good fun to play at these levels.
So last night we checked our monthly stats, just to see how we're doing. And I stared open mouthed at my placing in the Victories/Battles placing, which showed me at position 100. Never seen it that high before, and while we haven't played many games over the past few weeks we did have a 7 hour stint last Friday and won 32 games out of 34, combined with another 14 games on Saturday of which we won 12, for a total of 44 wins from 48 games.
Today one of my friends messaged me to say we'd pushed up even further today after another 10 wins from 10 games last night, and I've just grabbed a screenshot showing me placed at 87th. Now we're looking at trying to push into the top 50, so I'll be playing a lot more in the coming weeks.
