Valkyries of the Omnissiah Army Showcase

Postby DoctorThunder » Thu Aug 16, 2007 3:45 am

Warning: If an army of Gun-Slinging Sci-Fi Amazon Warriors are not your thing, then just click ‘back’ on your browser now. It’s not like your going to see anything inappropriate, it’s just that I want to avoid any Nerd Rage.

I unveiled this army at the Las Vegas Grand Tournament, and got my best painting score ever at a GT level, and placed 8th overall, with a record of 3 Wins, 1 Tie, and 1 Loss.

Just click on the thumbnails to see a larger pic.

Enjoy.

[Begin Nerdism]
Oh my god they're just NOT 40k!! There would never be anything like this in the game. EVER 8O At least not if I could help it
[/End Nerdism]

Ahhh, feel sooo much better for that, work can be such an arse sometimes.

Anyway:
Very nice effort, though I'm not sure about the "big" hair thing you got going on :P All very '90's.
It looks like you've put a hell of a lot of effort into this army, the overall effect is very distinctive.
Looking at the pictures I would assume you've used a heavy mix of 40k and Warhammer Fantasy bits, plus a dollop of the green stuff?
Are you planning to do some vehicles for them as well?

Very good work... *Applause*
Collector of Space Wolves, and all round awful painter!

I agree. They do look good. Great job on teh GT btw. I so want to go to one of those events, but alas I am married with children. My away from home fun is at an end.
The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

I've got a wife and kids as well, that doesn't mean your away from home fun is at an end. 8)

Lotsa Nerd Rage to vent, eh?

No, I think I'll leave this army as all-infantry, but I took what I learned from this one and applied it to my next project, a female space marine drop-pod army called the Black Widows.
