Inquisitor Draco question

Postby Herne » Tue Aug 04, 2009 7:55 pm

I have been looking for a copy of 'Draco' by Ian Watson, which I believe is the first of the three books 'Draco, Harlequin and Chaos child.' I have heard that Draco was originally released as 'Inquisitor' when black library was but an infant. (GW books I think...?) So my question is - is this true. If it is I already have a copy of inquisitor and my search is over. If it is - are there any differences barring the cover....? Any one know? Cheers in advance.

Yes, Draco was originally Inquisitor. It is the same book, so there shouldnt be any differences (I dont remember there being any, either). The forward etc might be different though. I think they just changed the name so people wouldnt get it confused (since there is now the Inq. game system, and other novels about Inquisitors - "Draco" is more specific).

GW have released the trilogy in a single volume, which also has 2 additional short stories (not essential to the plot, but they do help flesh it out a little), and a forward by Ian Watson. Its only £9.75 IIRC (should be compulsory reading for all 40K players, IMO :P).

Hope that helps :)

A just to second Tim's reply, yes Draco was Inquisitor - I have a copy of the original Inquisitor paperback on my shelf; as well as the first printing of Harlequin, and the hardback of Chaos Child autographed by Ian Watson :)
