What this forum is for

Postby Spack » Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:00 pm

I was hoping that having an "Anything goes" forum would result in it being treated with some maturity, and that it would be for discussing things that members thought other members would be interested in but did not fit into any other forum on this site. I guess I was being naive. Please do not post random junk, or any material that might be offensive or intended to provoke (see forum rule 6). If you think what you're going to post is going to way off the mark from what other members might want to read, don't post it. I and the moderators will be keeping a close eye on things, and action will be taken if we feel it is necessary.

Well, I don't feel it necessary to apologise.
A point was raised, I responded.
I don't believe in political correctness and do believe in free speech (and damn the consequences).

However, this is not the time nor place for that sort of thing and A.O.S. should not be compromised and/or associated with any type of political belief, mainstream or extreme.

With that in mind, I will refrain from responding to such things in future.

In any case, it will all be moot once I attain full control...

PS: no apologies necessary from anyone who hasn't received a PM from me. Those who were complained about have been notified.

I thought stuff was fairly tame but I only saw the first two posts... and I thought the 40k porn request thread was fairly harmless ..but I appreciate that even a pub has to have a few rules , e.g. vom on the bartender and you might get a clubbing :D
When I'm treading the line I generally report myself right at the start.. so that mods can be keeping an eye out on stuff, if I've made something too flamey they can cut it off before it gets all embaressing and I come out smelling of roses :D
Not involved in any of the current stuff (might surprise you lot)
KMB
BTW I'm glad despite mild nudges from Tim you didn't actually cut up the mouse trap thread..
Barely even lurking..

Well, I had thought it was interesting, in an odd sort of way, or odd in an interesting sort of way.

I'm glad the mouse thread wasn't chopped too.
