I-Phone Barcode reader app.

I-Phone Barcode reader app.

Postby KInG » Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:36 pm

Wow, my staff memeber, with I phone in hand just showed me an app that reads barcodes. On reading the GW stock barcodes it tells you what the item is and the manufacturer. But get this; it also lists where the cheapest places on the internet are to buy it. Our shop comes up in the top three, and mainly 1st on the list... :D how cool is that.

All barcodes have the manufacturer as part of the code IIRC so the app must be doing a lookup against the list of registered barcode users.

2 things to take from the video:
1. The guy doing the shooting is a moron - who cocks a semi automatic? This can knacker your springs reducing accuracy.
2. My iphone can catch a 9mm bullet. Keep it in the left breast pocket rather than the right as an improvised trauma plate...

Maybe its TV :D, I remember watching a 'real life' cop show where they were really happy the gangsters were shooting at them the fashionable wrist sideways way..The cops basically just walked straight into it, assuming the recoil was a mashup :D

Yeah the recoil on 9mm is somewhat balanced by the natural fall of shot at reasonable range. Firing gangsta mean your shot will pull up a left (right handed), which from a centre shot takes it above the shoulder.
However that grip works very well with full auto weapons, trouble is most idiots don't see the difference between an uzi/mach 10 & a pistol.

Thing is we already know you guys are great, you need to get the message out to other sites in a subtle fashion that doesn't make it seem like advertising.....

I'm assuming that's due to it using Google Products? I told you putting that up would be a good idea :D I've been tweaking it a little recently, and I've got a few more changes to put in as they've changed the attributes a little in the past few weeks.
