Summer 2011 event

Postby mattjgilbert » Mon Mar 22, 2010 4:26 pm

The proposal is we push this a month from August into September. This avoids school holidays (meaning people are not away with their families and WHW isn't packed with kids).

I assume we want to go Sat/Sun/Mon again (seems to be our prefered pattern)? In which case how about 17/18/19th?

2011 is already getting booked up for WHW so we should decide and book early.

September 13th is my birthday. I can't think of a nicer way to spend it ;) Failing that, the weekend after is fine too! :D (I still expect birthday presents though!).

It's after my daughter's birthday, and before my wedding anniversary, so I should be ok :)

bump on this thread

KMB is suggesting the Friday instead of the Monday so we should see what the preference is. We also need to book it although we may already be too late.

Matt I suggest we just book what we can now and give people enough notice, for the record tho, with this much notice Fri or Mon is good for me

As I mentioned before (somewhere) WHW will now be charging for organised events (cost TBC). We might want to simply turn up and grab what tables we can from now on unless the price is reasonable and we want to pay for bookings etc.

I'll dig through my emails to see if a price was mentioned and if not, see if it's been decided yet.

If its still TBC (and they got rid of their events guy) are we sure that the costing scheme will come in for this summer, and if it does will it also be in for the spring meet and we will have to pay on the door or something daft?
Barely even lurking..

Stuff has already changed. Tempus Fugatives have moved most of their events this year to Maelstorm Games's new annex. Apparently the new pricing scheme involves pay more per person, the more people you bring. Doesn't make sense to anyone but when has GW ever made sense.
If you already have tables booked then you should be fine, but still check for your own sanity.

Can we go to Maelstrom?

How happy they/Nige would be about that arrangement will have to be seen...
