I'd shout (again) for some kind of goodies vs baddies with neutralies filling the gaps.
= goodie/baddie win and the fickle neutralies (who may end up changing sides) can relish that balance of power.

People can bring a goodie or a baddie and those that can, could bring a neutralie as well (upon request).

Or something.

Add a story to it (a gate too far!) and have tumbling effects from previous games.

As usual, in all probability, my lot will only make the Sat.

So, we turn up and find that Fri resulted the baddies heavy support or super heavies have been delayed and can only be reserves (or whatever), Sat resulted in the baddies become ascendant and their elites also count as scoring.

Again, whatever.

Etc, etc.

Saturday starters could already be at odds with their Friday allies and non-Sunday/Modayers could end up shouting at the idiocy of their allies who were left in charge of attaining that objective.

I would rate the relative sucess of this, on how many good-natured disputes there are on the days and what outright riots could take place here after the events!!!

I think this is along the lines of what Matt has in mind altho its still in its infancy at the moment

Yea best of 5! n I might take Deathwing myself this time lol.
to be honest despite really wanting to beat that army now, knowing what it consists of gives me (or should give me) a pretty good advantage so wouldnt be as satisfying..
didnt you say that you wanted to fight nids? If we have a game at lets say christmas time I could probably knock a list up..

while im on the subject of nids (altho this can cover other things) lets take the tervigon.. no mini to go with it so you have to make your own.. how do you know what size base it should use? personally I think its a trigon base but with nothing in the rules you could probably stick it on a 25mm and say yea, thats a tervigon.. or am i missing something?

Nige that is true we do need dates before we do the format.
But as the dates are already booked like Matt said we are now onto sorting the format! ;)

I'll be attending this one!

As for a format, I don't have much experience of campaigns. However, the Badab campaign ran by Dark Stars a few years ago was pretty good. I'll see if I can dig out the pack and summarise what it was about...

Also, wouldn't mind a singles tourney.

depending on what happens with the 'campaign' we could always do a singles tourny on another day or for those that dont want to do the campaign.. but its probably not worth talking about till feb and know whats happening with the campaign as its easy enough to knock something up..

btw we need a rematch =) (wasnt it a lucky draw on my part last time?)

A singles tourney I can do. A singles evening in Bugmans is out of scope.

If he wants a singles evening I suggest to let him have it. It's not wise to upset a Wookiee.

My life is slowly getting back on track, though I don't have a car any more :(
Having said that, the house is "almost" sold, so I'll use that to buy another motor... Getting to the point... March is ideal for me, as I can nearly always get holiday then.
If I can get the car, the holiday is a cert, and I can come to this meet-up

WIN!!
