Scratch bulid Lucious Pattern Warhound

Postby RotweillerofJustice » Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:15 pm

Hi all,

Was given a copy of a set of templates to allow me to build one of these. I will probably be looking to start this in the New Year. But in the mean time I was wondering if anyone has the FW version would you be able to post and photos showing details such as the feet, leg joints, rear of the titan etc.?

Would be gratfull for as much info as possible
Cheers

Cheers Talus,

Need to see if the Vulcan Mega Bolter from the GW Shadowsword kit is the same size as the one for the Titan. Using the parts from the kit will be easier than trying to make it with all the small parts I think.

If I get chance tomorrow I could take a pic of the Vulcan from the Shadowsword kit next to the Mars Warhound weapon as a comparison, if you think it will help.

I have just found a set of warhound instructions that I downloaded from forgeworld before theywent to the shiny new site. They pictures for the foot details are great. As well as the pics for the rest of the build.

Does anyone know where I can get some rubber tubing from both smooth and ribbed?

Spack. A size comparison will be fantastic.

would forge world titan tubing be any good to you?

ive two strips spare, ribbed and smooth, both scrubbed, both completely unused

only need enough to connect the head to the body, so if i cut enough to do that, i might even have 3 for you

Hope these pictures help (a couple are out of focus, didn't notice till I'd packed everything away again :()

As you can see, the housing is very similar in size to the Warhound weapon, but the barrels are quite a bit smaller.

I'm thinking that it may not be too much of an issue once its in the housing. What do you reckon?

I'm planning on making a start in the new year. Just collecting the bits I need at the mo.

Cheers for the pic spack

Haven't forgotten about this. Benn collecting various parts and stuff.

Any suggestions for putting the templates onto the plasticard?

Also. Are there any suppliers of various sized ball and socket joints?
