thanks hunter, ive recovered from my cold now :) luckily it was in time for me to give the Britannia Naval College in Dartmouth (the RN officers training school) a pasting at Rugby :) we brought the Army Navy Cup back to Sandhurst (Army Officer Academy).

@ KMB, yep i dont get weekends a Sandhurst, we get the odd Sunday and a long weekend every 3 months :) unfortunately ive had the models to complete my BA blog and new Deathwing army in a box since i got here.....had no time :(

Not a prob though, when I finish here im on a 3 month battle course in Brecon.....so should have some time around Xmas, at which point ill most likely be going to Afghan, then i hopefully will be back for my daughters second birthday :) by that point i wont have spent more than 2 weeks with her at any one time..... treat, btw i may sound a little disgruntled right now, but ill get over it! :D

I wasn't referring to his posting rate, more his job and station probably being somewhat woken up over the last 8 days. But I believe(?) I am required to carry on being cryptic.

It has changed plenty - the original model it was a small orang-utan with no equipment or weapons, now it's a hulking ape-like alien covered in digital weapons and bits of kit. I suppose they had to keep it to the enduring description as it's one of the few non-codex aliens that had been described repeatedly in many books and codexes as being similar to a large orang-utan, so anything else model-wise would have caused the fluff-kids to storm GW HQ with pitchforks.

IIRC the Jokjaero were meant to be the original tinkerers. They could pretty much turn any pile of scrap into any piece of machinery, and were master of miniatureisation. They created, for instance the original digi-weapons made popular in high society and militarialy by the inquisition. I guess the original idea was the 'if you leave enough apes in a room with enough typewriters then eventually they will be able to write all of shakespeares plays' idea. Talking of the catachan face eater I seem to remember the 'cuddly chaos creature' as well. No model, jsut a great piece of artwork. Cute and fluffy like a long haired cat at the back, but when you fuss it, it turns around and is all claws and teeth ready to eat your face right off! Great moments from RT history. You never know - they might re-release the Ambull again and Ambull hunts will be back on the cards! :D
