A challenge for Ljundhammer!

Postby mattjgilbert » Thu May 26, 2011 10:53 am

OK, here’s a challenge for LH (and KMB too I assume). Other non GW games don't have to be complicated!

1. Download the rules here: http://www.manticgames.com/Hobby/Gaming.html
2. Read them!
3. Choose an army each of 1500 points
4. Cut out card template with the right footprint for the units in your armies. Write on them what they are and mark the middle of the front edge. (This way you don’t have to collect anything and can pretend you are not playing fantasy ;) :P )
5. Play some games (plural!) on a 6x4 table using some terrain. Try some different armies.
6. Report back on what you thought of the game, ease of play, simplicity of rules etc.

:D

I was going to write a reply about all the things I hope you discover about the game but I will not so as not to influence anything :)

Yes, I heard that Ljundhammer was challenged.

Sounds like it should be good, do tell!

Mm ba ba de
Um bum ba de
Um bu bu bum da de
Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure - that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Um ba ba be
Um ba ba be
De day da
Ee day da - that's o.k.
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people - people on streets
Day day de mm hm
Da da da ba ba
O.k.
Chippin' around - kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours
Ee do ba be
Ee da ba ba ba
Um bo bo
Be lap
People on streets - ee da de da de
People on streets - ee da de da de da de da
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher high high
Pressure on people - people on streets
Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
but it's so slashed and torn
Why - why - why ?
Love love love love love
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we give love give love give love give love
give love give love give love give love give love
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure
When in deadly danger
When beset by doubt
Run in little circles
Wave your arms and shout
- parody of the litany of command

You gibbering jarse gibbon!

Anyway, I excelled myself yesterday, I accomplished 3 things:

1) Read KoW & understood most of it - noty sure if it's my cup of tea, but I'll give it a go - I like the chess clock!

2) Read Hordes & understood most of it - I think we nearly played warmachine right last week! I prefer the FURY mechanism over FOCUS though - much more to think about!

3) Removed a load of viruses & trojans off my PC. Too. Much. Pr0n!

Oh & the wife booked train tickets yesterday for London - Natural History Museum tomorrow - WOOP WOOP - I'm more excited than the kids'll be!

Sunday gonna be good!

The Natural History Museum is very cool.

We've not tried with the chess clock yet!
