Church looks excellent!

I built one a few years ago (polly cieling tiles) and wish I'd gotten around to doing a collapsed bell tower or somesuch for the middle, as its a killing ground.

Hmm, really like the ruins. Who makes that kit(s)?

I've finally got something I can post myself. Here are the 2 Rhinos and Landraider I rescued from ebay.

There are more pics of them in my blog.

Coments and Crits welcome :)

Nice find on ebay!
Is that the way you got them, painted up like that?
If so, nice paint job as well.

The building looks to be this kit;
http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/Peg.- ... _info.html
with the addition of some other bits.
I don't want to steal Rotweiller's thunder, so I'll leave it to him to list the kits he used.

EDIT:Just checked out your blog and found out you painted these models.
Incredible!
Very nice work!
The freehand artwork is really, really great!

Thought I'd posted their original condition on this thread, but it must have been on another. To clarify. I stripped, disasembled, reasembled, converted and painted them. (sucker for punishment)

This is how the 2 Rhinos looked when I got them:

And while I forgot to take a pic of the Landraider as it arrived, here are a couple pics of the piece I have left over from it. And this is what they looked like after the first round of paint striping.

Thanks for the link Time :) I'll check that out.

City ruins 1 (4930)
Small set 1 (4925)

A couple of quick pics: ebay rescue broodlord and repaint of my old metal rapier laser destroyer.

Currently working on a load of 4ok terrain sets. I've sent a sheet of mdf off with a friend to be cut into bases, and will be ending up with a basilica, sanctum imperialis, manafactorum, shrine of the aquila, rebasing a couple of old terrain bits, 6 razor wire placements and a scratchbuilt skull temple. I'm painting the space marine statue from the honoured imperium kit at the moment.

The broodlord actually looks pretty good!

You have a lot of terrain going on there. If you haven't built ay GW buildings before, best advice is to start with a square corner and go on from there. Makes the project a lot easier!

Also, did you see the new nid releases coming in March? There's an artilce on BoLS on it;

advice taken, but I've already built them all...haha! Waiting for the bases to come back now. It's a garbage picture of the broodlord, but glad you like it.
I've seen the new nid goodness. I foresee a call to Gav and Nige in the near future....Perhaps a couple of tervigons and a flying tyrant plus swarmlord sets. and a set each of the lashwhip bonesword / twin bonesword packs etc. At least I've had the money saved for this for a couple of years now..!

heres a shot of the terrain getting a quick use yesterday in a cityfight game:

Nice terrain! I like the way the table is set up.
Curious though...is the bowl of chips difficult or dangerous terrain?
Like the colors on the buildings and the weathering job on the bastion came out very nice. Good job.

They are difficult terrain for players, not models. People have difficulty moving past them without pausing...
The table set up follows the rules in the cities of death book, so tallest in the middle, the rest no more than 6 inches from another building. I put down as much rubble as I had, and I took the barricades stratagem, getting 4 to deploy. it will look much better when the rest of the buildings get based up.

Edit: both myself and my opponent took the dirty tricks demolition stratagem, and both played it on the same building, the bastion! My opponent got it a turn earlier though! I can imagine troops from both sides busy working together wiring up sticks of dynamite.' no you go first old chap, don't mind us!'

"Pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?"
"No, sorry, but would a few kilos of plastique do instead?"
"Yes! That would do nicely, thanks much!"

Almost there with the undead. Just a unit of Zombies and the war mammoth to go. I started on DKH: Dead Rising today. I'll start another blog about that though.
