The Return of the K!nG

Postby KInG » Sun Jul 08, 2012 11:30 am

Hello everyone. Missed me? (like a hole in the head) :)

Not even read the rules yet. But had a couple of games of doubles to get back into it.

First impression is, there seems to be alot more rules... Having not played for over a year now, I find myself with a codex I'm trying to read in one hand and the new rulebook in the other. Probanly best I pick the simplest army to use and play with that until I've got the rules sorted.

Anyways, I'm hoping you guys can help me get up to scratch a bit quicker, so expect a lot of noob questions from the master ;)

IMPOSTER! SIEZE HIM!

Seriously though, welcome back Nige. Having not even seen a copy of 6th yet, I can only go off what I've read on various forums. But I can already tell you from what i've seen, is that people who play every day are just as confused with the 6th ed too. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Again welcome back.

Welcome back Nige!

I've just come back from a week away and had some time to read new book. I must say after a good read of core rules and a skim of special rules, etc. I'm liking the new rules. Will need to think carefully about lists, but I was planning on doing a salamanders list. He'stan and meltas and multi-meltas with Snap Fire is nice (unless an FAQ will stop this...)

Which is probably why he is still alive to return, without a body disposal plan, killing him acheives nothing.

Having just read the last post I now have to clean the coffee off my monitor.

I will try to explain Rotweillers comment.

A long time ago in the middle of England far far away.

Nige came to a scenario paintball event and played alongside Rotweiller , Typhus and I who are members of The Wild Geese scenario paintball team.
Nige had had somewhat of an eventfull trip down the night before and he hadnt slept well. Next day, he turns up late in the morning and proceeded to have a really bad first few hours on site. He couldnt get his gun to work and had broken another team mates gun. So at this point he informed us he was going for a kip in his car. Bearing in mind the weekend had so far cost him over £200.
Anyway, we all carried on playing and left Nige to his much needed beauty sleep. About 5 hours later Nige shows up and says "Thats the best hours kip he's ever had and Im ready to play ball". After 10 minutes of none stop laughing we finally broke the news to him that the game was over and we were all packing up.

And on the way home my brother in law who was also with us reversed his big 4x4 into Niges car door.

Dont worry Nige I wont mention the Jubilee pancakes.
