This is why the designers wisely put the door handles o the OUTSIDE of the door! :P

Like the ideas for the names, only suggestion it to expand the list a bit, not nearly enough choices there! 8O

Hope you hand feels better, then you can get back to painting (you lazy git! ;) )

need some ideas for what i can use as snow on a model base...

its a one off, so i cant justify going and buying a tub of snow flock, and i highly doubt even the finest sand i have here would pass for it when painted white

ideas?

Might sound icky... But how about mixing something like porridge with PVA? Gloop it on and paint it white.. Or put the white in the mix first?

Would white paint and PVA work on their own maybe?

I'll keep thinking about it...

i did consider white and pva, but that would just dry flat, even considered putting it over some greenstuff, but same problem

could mix it with sand, but that would just end up being white sand

i keep finding a good one thats baking soda and pva, i just dont have any baking soda :P

he stands well enough on his own without a base, and its not for a game, simply display, so with the lack of resources like that to hand, i might just leave the base for a while

but let me know if you think of something else =)

thanks Cain!

well its that time again

for another monumental update from the almighty Talus and his never ending quest to finishing painting every sodding model he owns... dont worry, should only take the next decade!

finished the contemptors!

well two of them at least, still another waiting to go on the table

ImageImageImageImageImage

now, i dont have the rules for the contemptors, so if/when i get into a game with these, the cyclone will act as a missile launcher instead of a er... cyclone :P

i also took it a little easy on the battle damage this time =)

whatcha think?

also, please vote for what you want to see finished next!

land raider with extra armor

or a trio of vindicators!

Not a fan of the models, tbh, but you've done a fine job on them!

I vote for vindicators/vindicati/vindicatore/vindypops.

I never liked the pot belly on the contemptors either. But you have done a brilliant paint job on them bud.

I too vote for the vindicators, although I find it a lil ironic as I've just finished 2 of my own. Pics will be up in a few days.

They really came out nice. Good job on the scratch-built assaly cannon.
Painting is very well done.
The battle damage is...meh.
Only kidding! Looks fantastic.
And I agree, vindicators next.

i know the damage isnt fantastic, but im working on it

i mean, hell, its a hundred times better than the first lot that went on the vindicator!

gives it time, i'll get it perfect =)

just dont expect me to do that on a titan...

now, as for the vindicators

there will be a slight delay before any updates come, i wrecked my shoulder this morning and have no movement in the arm... which you know, always fun when you're already battling a shot knee and a twisted up back!

Serves you right for doing your painting in a bouncy castle.
Sort it out!

sponsored by christmas!

Vanguard Squad Orias!

ImageImageImageImageImageImage

composed of anvil bodies, shoulders, backpacks, heads, gw arms and forgecraft bases!

i would be posting the vindicators, but in all honesty, i got so pissed with them i nearly threw them against the wall :(

seems the screaming skull top layer i used on the marines and the contemptors, doesnt want to work so good on them! so im considering just leaving them as vallejo sand straight from the airbrush, which means they'll take a bit more time than usual

there is another vanguard squad in the line, metal with jump packs (straight from a box), but they wont see the light of day for quite some time
