To escalate or not to escalate, that is the question...

Postby KInG » Mon Dec 16, 2013 8:11 pm

Now most of you 40k players have read and digested the new books; Escalation and Stronghold assault, what have you and your opponents decided with regards what can and can't be allowed in a standard game... Let's say:

1. A standard game of 1500-2000
2. And then anything above 2k

I've only read rumour and conjecture so far I'd have to have a full look my self before I could make a judgment call.

not read the books, however for a prearranged game, then its discussed before hand what expansions or restrictions are in play. For a pick up game, standard 40k only.

I would think you could only ever do pick up as std w40k, that's why I think tournies wont allow it in the main. However I don't see anything wrong with armies getting access to the new single forts and new upgrades/weapon options, but anything with vortex/destroyer or network in it should be left to the realms of Apoc sized games.

Actually on the Fortifications i would check with your opponent if he will let you use them but as for the huge ass guns i agree save them for apoc because thats what they are designed for
