I usually attempt to paint, or have others paint, my models in the colour schemes do by
GW on theirs. But for
DE I already have a green army,
DA, and thought I would attempt another. The only colour I could think of that wasn't prominent in other armies I have was Purple:
It was all going ok, till I painted the infantry man. Now the picture coming up doesn't look too bad, but it was starting to look a little on the pink side
So I thought, uck it, I'll just stick to the
GW scheme and try and make it more aqua that green. after all,
DA green is very dark green only, towards the black end of the spectrum, so I would take this scheme for
DE towards the light blue. Also GW's
DE all have lined armour. The armour plates on the vehicles and the infantry armour is all lined. Theres no way I can do that, or would even want to across some hundred models!!!
So I tried my faithfull drybrush/wash/drybrush/wash technique again as on my flesh hounds and checkout the results....
what you think.. with a few details painted these guys can be knocked out quick sharp
