Looks great Angel!

That's the cleanest stripping job of old paint I've ever seen. There's not even a hint of old paint on it. What kind of acid bath did you dip it in? lol

I like the way you painted it, goes along nicely with the other ones you've done up.

Are you building a marine force by any chance?

Liking the Termi Angel. Have to agree with TW that's a very good clean up.

im also liking these. I like very much the 'weathering' you've done on the broadside. Was that just sponged on?

Cheers all. This one was in fairy power spray for a hour or so. I don't think it actually received an undercoat for the old paint job which helped. I'd also used a needle file to pick out a few stubborn bits of paint in the crevices, and I cleaned the mold lines before I took the picture. It turns out its a dark angel deathwing terminator under all the paint.

I'm not building a marine force, just finally painting up bits and pieces that have been in my loft for a long time. These models are added to my existing marine army and add a few options. For example, this cyclone terminator means I can now choose which heavy weapon to go in the squad out of all three options. I picked it up from a friend for 50 pence. Good value considering the last time GW sold these, they where £9 for normal terminators, possibly more for the heavy weapon ones.

I've a second hand techmarine incoming which I've paid £2 for, unseen. I don't know how much paint is on this one....

Like them both RoJ! Very nicely done.

The weathering, as KInG noted, is especially nice. Just enough.

Thanks guys
The weathering is just dry brushing using a dark grey and dark green. I also just popped a little dark wash into some of the corners

omg! I just went to get the rest of my grotesques out to paint, being inspired by my latest paint job, and holy cow!!

I thought I had 3 more, to make the unit I talked about (4 grotesques and an IC in raider)... well I must have already had that thought and placed the order. I have 8 grotesques! :(

Now I have them I'm not too sure what to do with them. Do I keep them, are two of these units viable in game? or swap them with GW? Or make 'em with others and paint them, to then sell them (is my painting really any good :| ?

The unit with IC and raider is 200pts. I suppose it is viable... mmm

So I've nearly finished the two crisis suits that will be Shas'o R'myr's bodyguard.
And because I failed completely to get some fairy power spray I haven't finished stripping the paint off the skyray so I have been finishing off this terrain piece from FW. :-)

Nicely done! Should really stand out on the battlefield.

A typography study. If anyone is interested I'll continue to post my college work and other photography work, as it is project stuff for me.

Always interested in how to take better pictures of the hard work I put into my models!
