Baneblade conversion kits

Postby will » Sat Mar 08, 2008 7:21 am

Hi all

I was just on the forgeworld website looking up the baneblade conversion kits and noticed that it is actually cheaper to buy the stormsword and the stormblade from forgeworld (not GW baneblade + conversion kit, just the FW tank) The shadowsword conversion kit would come out at £5 cheaper but the postage would make up for that.

So, what is the point of these conversion kits?

will, the FW "conversion" kits include all the plastic Baneblade chassis sprues too - they're a complete tank. For £85 you get the a whole tank, compared to £150 for the full resin version.

You just ordered it and you expect it to be with you in a few days??

I ordered a Stormblade last weeks ago along with a bunch of other stuff. I rang up on Tuesday and was told there is no due date yet as they have no stock, and had no idea when more were coming in. At the moment FW are asking customers to bear with them as they are very busy and are quoting up to 28 days for delivery.

I'm suprised they didn't ring you for a hand mate - Lets face it - you've got more stock than they have!!! :twisted: :lol:

Herne;

That's soooo cold man.. True, but cold.

Spack;

Be honest, with FW stock issues now, you probably 'do' have more available stock than they do. ;)

Yeah, There are a number of FW models that I would love to have in my possession.

The expense though is so prohibitive for here in the US. I guess I will need to keep a watch for when my LGS manager buys and maybe sneek in with his order. (Although the cost of models could outright kill me too). :( I would really Like a LS Tempest but at about $60 that is a bit much for a single unit.

Oh well. Guess I will have to ENVY everyone elses FW stuff.
