8th ed rulebook price

Postby mattjgilbert » Thu May 27, 2010 2:22 pm

Rumour is 60 Euros (so £50). Nige/Gav... have you heard about price and content of the various editions yet?
Confirmed at 528 pages in full colur though :) Sounds like a monster of a book.

I can't wait. I foresee a summer/autumn of WHFB with no 40K in sight 8O

Not heard anything from GW about forthcoming releases beyond the Spearhead stuff.

Tried getting something out of the rep yesterday but he said he didnt know anything.

But I would imagine it would be the same price as Assault on Black Reach, £55 from this weekend.

Matt are you asking about the starter set or the hardback big rulebook? I don't know, but it appears Gav is thinking the starter box set.

Well both really. The main book is rumoured to be £50 so I was seeking confirmation. Any more details of the 2 rumoured starter editions would be welcome too.

Well the hardback rulebook will be a hell of a lot more than just the core rules. The starter box will be core rules only.

I'll be getting both...so I'm a moron :D

What's the deal with the clock on the GW website - is this when it is supposed to be released, or just when it can be advanced ordered? Just find it strange that 12 days out now, it still isn't in the advance orders - unless they're terrified of feedback regarding the price on it...or they don't want another Valkyrie bait-and-switch.

Rulebook will be priced at £45 and we may have a preview copy in shop at some point next week.

Looking forward to seeing it myself actually. Not played Warhammer for about 10 year, so it may get me back into it.
