TK FAQ changed two previous answers:
Destroyer of Eternities now doesn't work with the Incantation of Righteous Smiting
Collor of Shapesh cant' transfer Combat Resolution wounds
Technically changed the Casket of Souls vs MR ruling as well, but back to the old way so *shrug*

HE FAQ has a nice touch:
It appears Korhil now gets to use his phantom extra hand weapon.

Thanks mate. Now I just have to read the rulebook to have it all make sense!

From the O&G FAQ: "Start of Turn sub-phase"... really? they actually added a sub-phase to clear things up?! Nice job. Let's hope 40K get's something similar.

Looks like my swordmasters still get to strike first :)

Just noticed:

GW messed up the Ring of Hotek rules - the 8th Ed amendment changes it to only work if the caster is within 12", but not only did they change the "target" ruling from the 7th Ed FAQ, they implied the opposite to the amendment... WTF?!

Steam Tank got a random unexpected upgrade to T10?!

And "huh?".... the player whose turn it is selects chooses when Wardancers select their dance. :angry3 :eusa_think

There is also later the following
Q. Do area of effect spells miscast on a double if they affect any model
within 12" of the Ring of Hotek? (p102)
A. Yes.

So guess Hex's can be affected but Magic Missiles cast by a wizard outside 12" at a unit within will not?

Interesting to see that High Elves will have to use the Army List Restrictions - so 25% Core selection but then who wouldn't take Spearmen or Lothern Sea Guard?

Page 89 – Army List entry
Ignore this page and use the rules for ‘Choosing Your Army’ in
the Warhammer rulebook.

All High Elf Great Weapons will still ASF

Q. The Speed of Asuryan special rule states that “all High Elves
have the special rule Always Strike First, regardless of the weapon
they are wielding.” How does this interact with a great weapons
Always Strike Last? (p43)
A. The army book will take precedence in this situation. For
example, a Sword Master would strike first with his great
weapon. If his Initiative value is equal to or higher than his
opponent’s, he will also benefit from a re-roll to hit.

Seems the following units have also benefitted from increase to T10
Tomb King Casket of Souls
Dark Elf Cauldron of Blood
Dwarf Anvil of Doom

As to Skaven Screaming Bell and Plague Furnace - they now fit in with the rules for Chariots
While Doomwheel, Warplightning Cannon and Plagueclaw Catapult are now War Machines proper.

I haven't seen the new War Machine rules yet to see if there's anything that mitigates it, but both the Casket and Anvil were Toughness "discount hits we can't be damaged", whereas now they can be wounded by any Strength on a 6, so I have trouble seeing that as a benefit ;)

So massed attacks will always bring something down. Seems fairly reasonable.

As far as I can remember reading (need that book sooo bad)
For Shooting - you use the War Machines Toughness to wound (which will likely be 6+)
For Combat - you use the Crews Toughness to wound
The WarMachine has number of Wounds equal to number of crew
Exception being Characters in unit add all they wounds to the total, so Cauldron of Blood has 4 wounds whereas an Empire Cannon has 3 wounds.

Now we don't have a chart to have to roll against to see who is hit, plus now takes into account that the War Machine needs a crew to function and that Characters would be the last to die.

With my Skaven i'm thinking that my Jezzails will be going War Machine hunting (Str6 so 5+ to wound) still need to hit which is always the hard bit.

Thinking if my Night Goblin Arrer Boyz can get close enough, 2 ranks plus other ranks at 50%, could get 35 shots at Long range (6+ to hit, 6+ to Wound), might get a wound 8O
Then again I'd probably be dead from Mortar pie-plates.....
