Good battle replays

Just for laughs.

My Jag E100 one shotting a loudmouth scout in the first 45 seconds of the fight. Didn't do horrible, but didn't do well either. Left the fight early, so no details are displayed on wotreplays.

I've never fired even a single gold round. I only use HE as a last resort, such as shooting a Maus with a Ferdinand when AP shells won't go through from the front (luckily 10-14 damage per shot was enough to kill it ;)). A standard AP shell can almost always do damage, just need to hit the weakspots - turret hatches and machine gun ports almost always present themselves, and with hatches you can normally knock out the commander too :)

I'll try to get a chance to watch your replay when I get home - no WoT here at work :( Have you tried vbAddict's ADU app? Not only will it upload your battle results after every game, but can also be set to upload replays and tank/crew details automatically, and the web interface has a handy "battle simulator" that extracts the paths all the tanks took, the chat, and runs an animation of the tank movements and firing on a minimap layout in a web browser. Very handy for a quick overview of what happened without needing to open the replay file in WoT itself. http://www.vbaddict.net/wot.php Found 4 of your battles from yesterday on there posted by other players, but not this battle unfortunately.

It depends on the gun as regards to an AP shell, a 77mm HV on a Comet for instance is going to struggle against a lot of tier 9s, even from the side. 148mm of pen is pushing it. While I don't spam the gold there are a few occasions I will use it, depending on circumstances. With the tier 8 TD guns it isn't really needed but if you are using the stock gun on the SU-152 then if you are in a tier 8 or 9 game you really need to spam the gold. When I had mine I carried half standard HE and half HEAT. If I was top tier I would use the HE, if I was bottom tier I would spam the gold. One thing I really hate are tier 10 players who spam the gold, most of them have 250+ pen son it's just not needed. You can sort of excuse an E100 as the 152mm gun has lousey pen for a tier 10 but why players feel the need to spam gold in a tier 10 TD I'll never know.

I know. There's nothing like being a tier 8 tank in a tier 10 fight and getting chewed up by a T57 heavy autoloader shooting gold. Before you have a chance to blink, you're toast.
I use the gold rounds like mark does. If I'm top tier, there's usually no need for it. Or if I'm firing round after round into an enemy tank, hit after hit and still fialing to pen, I will usually throw a gold round at it. Of course, by that time I've usually been destroyed!

You think the T57 spamming gold is bad, I got whacked by a Foch 155 spamming gold! Coz 300 pen with standard ammo just isn't enough! I very rarely spam the gold, even if I'm bottom tier, although to be fair at the minute I am playing mainly tier 8 and 9s that have good enough pen any way. You've probably noticed that I'm playing the t54E1 a lot currently, that is another tank, along with the T54, that tends to attract gold spammers. It's just not needed, all the replays I've put up for the E1 I have not fired a single gold round.

Great game in the T54E1, 4.9K damage, Sniper and 4 kills, unfortuanately a loss. I actually get more base XP than the best player on the winning team. It's more memorable though for the total moron in the GW E100 who decides right at teh start of the game to suicide scout!

Only game in the T29 tonight. EU servers are lagging badly. But I still managed 3k damage, 4 kills, and my first (and only so far!) High Calibre medal :D http://www.vbaddict.net/download_replay ... 2982075247

Hard to tell at the minute due to the lag the EU servers are having. One thing I can say is that he level of competence is just as bad!

They can only upgrade the game, not the players!

But we can still hope for them to implement noob1.1!

Unlocked the top gun on the Jagdtiger this morning, didn't take long to get my first game with over 5k damage and 4 frags. Managed Mastery 1st class and High Caliber medals. http://www.vbaddict.net/download_replay ... 1457133291

Shortly before this, again in the JT, managed just over 4k damage, 5 kills, and High Caliber: http://www.vbaddict.net/download_replay ... 6809827536

I'm liking this bigger gun :D

I just got Patrol Duty in the E-75 :D I didn't have much choice but to spend most of the game scouting, only the second time I've ever got that medal (the other time was in the Panther) http://www.vbaddict.net/battlereport/ag ... 9773960995

Two good games in the Mini Hellcat. First one I carry the team with 6 kills and 1600 damage which gave me High Calibre. It's enough for Ace Tanker, although I already had it it's still nice tio get it. This was actually a better game than the one that gave me Ace tanker!

Replay

Second one is on Komarin. I cover virtually the whole map, going from one flank to the other getting 8 kills, 41 defence points and another High Calibre. Again it was enough for Ace Tanker. It's a tense finish as it comes down to me and a VK2001. I had no idea where he was so I decide to cap, I finish the cap with 38 seconds to spare.
