Marks of Excellence

Marks of Excellence

Postby Spack » Sun Sep 28, 2014 7:40 pm

Up until the release of 9.3 I was almost, but not quite, up to the required damage ratio to get Marks of Excellence on a few of my tanks. With the changes in 9.3 to base the statistic on players for the last 14 days rather than all time it didn't take long to get marks on the IS, T25/2, and E75. Going to take a while to get a second mark on any of them though ...

The Jagdtiger is at 58.2%, so should with a few good games be the next tank I get a mark on.

Anyone else picked up marks yet? I rarely see them, yet I'm a pretty average player and have them on 3 tanks now. I'm surprised I got the IS one, as I'd expect most IS players to be causing lots of damage with the top gun, and I don't use gold ammo so am at a disadvantage as my damage output will be lower than a player using gold.

I'll be honest - with my stats, marks of averageness are abut the best I can hope for!

And how many tanks in your garage?! 8O

I've only got 17 tanks (there's another tier 1 off the right side of the screen) - and if you look carefully quite a few are low tiers from my recent runs to get the Tank Expert medals for China and UK as I needed to mop up some tier 1 and 4 tanks, and a few are freebie premiums (I did sell a few of the early ones though). I'm going to try not to sell tanks when I upgrade now if possible, but it's not always an option - I had to sell the Ferdi and VK4502A to get the VK4502B as I just couldn't earn enough to save up the 3.4m required. The Sturer Emil will be going next as I hate playing it, but I'm using it as extra barracks space till I've got enough credits to get the tier 8 TD in that line. The mid tier Russian tanks are there as I haven't unlocked all the next tier tanks on them yet except for the KV-1, that's a great one for earning credits on. I've also started using freebie tier 1s as barrack space too if I've got free garage slots - much cheaper than spending gold to expand the barracks ;)

One of my friends, skiddyb, has over 30 tanks in his garage - I think the last time I asked him it was about 35, and he's bought a few more since then.

Wow - I can barely keep track of the 11 I have! I was looking for a "good" tank to run for racking up credits, and the KV-1 got a passing mention, although I'm sure someone mentioned the T-34. But I could be mistaken.

Finally got the stripes on the Jagdtiger, was slowly creeping up towards 65% and then had a few good games with 5k and 4k of damage.

Guess I won't mention the 62 tanks I have in my garage then?

I've sold the T29 and Sturer Emil, and picked up an IS-3 and a T32 :)
