Some of you may have noticed the http://www.uk40kgt.co.uk website went down this weekend. It turns out this is due to someone/persons deciding to conduct a denial of service (DoS) attack on our website with the sole purpose of getting it shut down. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

A very sad turn of events indeed.

We are working with our resident web guru and the server hosts to get everything back online but until then do not worry, we have a back up of all the information hosted there so your entry details and the like have not been lost.

Well a couple of people have recently dropped out due to real life clashes so we are working through the reserves list; Nigel and Alan; check the email I sent you!

Skuzzle,

I have been offered a ticket at cost price, but I'm not on the reserve list - will I be allowed to play if I buy it?

@ Ljundhammer: if someone wants to sell your their ticket that is fine. All I will need is an email from them confirming this and your contact details plus if you have any dietary requirements.

@ Bane: hopefully Nige should have gotten a reply from my by now. Sorry for the delay but was away all weekend.

Ok just got back to York (and ordered some Chinese food) after what has been both a very long, but very enjoyable weekend. Apology's for not doing any updates or posts about how things were going but myself and the rest of the committee have been rushed off our feet all weekend working hard to ensure the event was a success, which I gather it was from the vast amount of handshakes we received after the awards ceremony.

As I mentioned I will get a full breakdown of results out on email to all the attendees (and post the same here), together with pictures and the like, either tomorrow or Tuesday, but in brief:

1st = Paul Burke - Imperial Guard
2nd = Allen El-Sour - Orks
3rd = Josh Roberts - Imperial Guard
Best painted = James Karch - Space Wolves
Most Sporting = Jason Annette - Dark Eldar

CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FULL RESULTS SHEET INCLUDING ARMY BREAKDOWN

Once again thanks to everyone for attending, and the committee for giving up so much of their time for free to organise and run the event, all of which made the tournament such a huge and massive success.
