Warhammer 40k 9th Ed...who’s in?

Postby conscriptboris » Mon May 25, 2020 12:11 am

Hi all,

I still cruise forums as the discussions are better than FB (which ruined forums, as convos and info aren’t retained). No need to post images, but who’s grabbing 9th? Thoughts on the models?

Hey Elvis!

Saw the 9th release info, figures look good but in still in a 40k lull so likely Robert be buying anything. Will depend on whether anything comes or that my brain decides in must add to my collection :p

I might check out the free rulebook when it comes out.

im considering the necrons so that i can dabble with small games of 40k / kill team. Weve been bitten hard by Titanicus and Aeronautica, but it would be nice to play a few games at 28mm. Plus the new models look sweet so far.

My Blood Angels can't wait for assault intercessors. Already built some from parts I had sitting around...

Shaking the dust off - yeah I will be doing 9th. Have invested too much into it not to. Lol:

My area unfortunately doesn’t play those games (although my wallet is thankful!).

So I’m just focusing my resources on 40k.

I have a feeling Imperial Guard will see a bunch of resculpted models this edition!.....mainly because I started a guard army this year....sooo

I’m getting back into it after losing all my miniatures to a landlord who was a complete tosser.
I’ll probably pick up the command edition starter set.

I've played a couple of games since the release and I'm liking it more than 8th - the amount one needs to think about is much greater, making it a more tactical game.

My Custodes are also loving how much more CP they have now!

I would agree, played some 8th, didnt like it. Tbh i disliked it since 6th with the advent of Overwatch and other out of player turn effects. W40k isnt an action style game, its pure turn based, so someone getting first turn, then being able to shoot in my turn (with buffs), just ruined it for me. Now at least people have to spend CP to overwatch, and can only do it once, which is great.
