Seen new rules will be £50!!
Seeing as only a few of us play together we'll be sticking to 6th for the forseable.

Would be better just to release a small supplement to 6th ed? With new rule in it.

Is that the full book with all the fluff and pics?

Wasn't there supposed to be just a rules only book for less cost?

Looks like it. It's a TRIPLE book set, so seems pretty good value. Its up for pre-order on their website. I cannot afford to spend more money on another set of rules, plus psychic cards, plus objective/ mission cards!Yet.

Full box set, limited edition set with beautiful case and loads of stuff is £200. Nice if you have the cash, and the space!

A rules only book would be a good idea, would lighten cost a bit!

I agree, it would be nice to have the rules only for 1/3 the cost. £50 for 3 books, 2 of which I would probably only glance through once, is a bit over the top.
And this is without knowing what the rules changes/clarification/nerfs might be. I'll wait for the reviews!

Rules only will still be £30+ based on the size and relation to the codex costs.

6th has its issues, but I actually want to get my moneys worth out of the rule book I own (the small softback one at that..!). Two years isn't enough for me.

I really think I'm going to leave 40k. Played it since the day 2nd ed was released in 93 but can't justify shelling out £45 for a new rulebook plus whatever additional stuff you need when it was less than two years ago that I shelled out over £100 for both the main rulebook and the DV set (6th ed was released after the Euros and this is being released before the WC). I've barely played 6th ed as it is and feel I haven't got anywhere near my money's worth from it, I've had a general loss of mojo for gaming recently but have invested in Bolt Action (just need to actually put my Brit starter army together and actually read the rulebook!) and am going to get DzC and get back into FoW, hopefully this will reinvigorate my love for the hobby. The way I feel at the minute GW can do one. Maybe in the future I will get back in to GW but not at the minute.

After speaking to a few of the gaming group, no one is bothered about upgrading and will stick to 6th. That finalises the decision for me.

As I said in one of the other 7th ed threads a few weeks back, this weeks white dwarf is chock full of bits of info, about release stuff (e.g. dark vengeance will have the rulebook replaced in it)- seems weird that they won't move on (or backwards) to orks.. but they didn't specify a race change in that paragraph.

I think herne was hoping for the rule book part of the three book set to be released separately...?
