I'm still learning the rules. But if I understand correctly, I think the crew totals 29ss. But I'm looking forward to playing them as they have some nasty rules. For example:
Mistress Misaki can decapitate an enemy model killing it outright. The only way to avoid it, is for the defending model to use 2 soul stone (but only if it can spend ss) or to throw away 2 control cards.
Also, if she is locked onto a target, she makes a free walk towards that enemy every time the enemy performs an action. That one needs LoS though.
Ototo is hard to kill, but his weapon ignores hard to kill and something else on others..
Shang allows me to take an extra control card
The Totokage can climb walls, and have mistaken identity which means they can swap place with a friendly model within 12". So if activated in the right order, I could technically move say Misaki 36 inches before I've even activated her!
The plastics are nice. But I'm finding this set incredibly delicate and difficult to build/paint. I certainly wouldn't recommend this set for someone new to building/painting miniatures.
My wife is interested too. She's already claimed the Kaeris crew. But I think we'll be adding more as we go along. I'll pick a crew or additions, then she'll do the same, so on and so forth.
I'm fortunate that a Wargame shop opened very close to me in April. I'm actually able to get the models fairly easy, not to mention playing other apponents . I've actually played move games of 40k in the last month, than I did in the previous 10 years. But I'll be playing Malifaux there too, as well as Bolt Action and possibly WarmaHordes.
