Malifaux: Oiran for Ten Thunders.

by Cain Tiberius on Sun Aug 04, 2013 3:02 pm
May I present: 3 Oiran for my Malifaux Ten Thunder crew.

Not the hardest unit, but quite sneaky really. The start of Harmless so harder to target. Nearly all their triggers restore Harmless. And if not.., one of the (1) actions restores Harmless. They can also once per crew per turn can chose one random card from the enemy control hand. If I dislike the card, I can make him place it back in the deck.. :D

Grey Knights Dreadknight Conversion WIP Part 3

by Spack on Sun Apr 17, 2011 4:39 pm
I just couldn't leave it alone again. This time I decided that the shoulders needed a little something, and I ended up adding some pauldrons.

Other than magnetising the weapons the Dreadknight is (at least for the moment!) complete.

Model Railway Lighting

by Spack on Sat Nov 17, 2012 7:03 pm
Some time ago when I first started building the model railway for my son I said I could add street lights to the layout. I duly spent hours making 2 very simple street lights, but this was somewhat lacking especially as they were quite dull. Today I finally removed them, and installed 20 white LEDs in street lights, station lights, and some interior lighting in buildings. These LEDs were prewired and had resistors fitted ready to use with 12V DC power (which I already had thanks to a left over Netgear router power supply), and cost less than buying the component parts to build myself. After 6 solid hours of work today the lighting is complete!

Take one bendy straw and trim it down to size. Bend a prewired LED, and slide into the straw. Street light complete :D The station lights are made the same way but with much shorter poles.

Necrons

by timewizard on Tue Aug 23, 2011 10:24 pm
Recently my Necron player and opponent gave up the game for good. That's the bad news.
But he gave me his Necron Army. That's the good news.
But the necrons were mostly unprimed, not painted at all, and needed to have some parts added to them, specifically the ends of the warriors gauss weaponns.

So I finished the construction, primed them black, and then gave them a 'quick and dirty' drybrush of Vallejo Hammered Copper.
Here's how they came out so far.
