Eldar Blog 21st July 2013 Guardian test scheme.

by Cain Tiberius on Mon Jul 22, 2013 12:37 am
I collected eldar for a while many years ago in 3rd edition (I think). With the release of the new codex, I thought I'd start a new eldar force. The colours I've gone for are Bleached Bone (Ushabti Bone) and Hawk Turquoise (Sotek Green). As for style, I'm basing them more towards the Biel Tan.

My New Forgeworld Stuff

by DaBoss on Tue Oct 29, 2013 5:20 pm
With our Team's (Armageddon Inc) recent visit up to GW Lenton for 'Council of War' weekend, which turned out to be a good weekend for my Chaos Daemon army of Tzeentch (1 loss and 2 wins) and the absolute victory (17-5) in Apocalypse on the second day - got to use my Armourcast Phantom Titan in an 8000pts per side.

He did very well, kill list included Marneus Calgar and 10 Terminator Bodyguard, Tigius, Lysander, 3 Centurions, 2 Vendetta's and a Warhound twice (brought back after scheduled break), only possible due to the sacrifice of James Iyanden Eldar protecting me from tons of assault Terminators.

Anyway, between these games I picked up the latest Horus Heresy Book 2 - Massacre, along with some Mechanicum and the first models for my first Forgeworld only army - 5 MkIII Space Marines to be painted up as Sons of Horus (I've already got a sizeable Worldeater force using Mk6 RTO1 Space Marine 'Beakies' with Angron leading them to many a victory.

Looking in the allies chart in HH Book 1...

Cain's BA Blog 29th May

by Cain Tiberius on Sun May 29, 2011 9:52 pm
Finished Pics of the Dreads in the Comments. 8th May

Having finished my SR, I'm starting a Librarian Furioso and a Death Co Dread. For the DC Dread I am using the older metal Furioso model that I got off ebay and stripped the paint off. The Lib Furioso is basically the kit with a few alterations, like the 'hands' are off the Venerable kit. The book on the banner pole is a GK icon from the SR kit. And both banners and banner poles are home made.

SPACE:1959 part 2 More buildings

by estarriol on Fri Jul 08, 2011 11:08 am
2 more buildings constructed, these things are addictive!

Firstly my second 28mm Compound. Again the Brig and some Treen are giving it the once over. For scale the mdf base is 300mm x 300mm.

Next up is the second building, another Afghan style compound but this time in 6mm. Again for reference the base is 70mm x 70mm. This was made by simply chopping some old bits of a chipboard shelf into the right heights then adding card surrounds for the lips of the roof. Makes them solid and pretty quick to knock, the hardest thing being cutting out the windows/doors!.

Grey Knights Dreadknight Conversion WIP

by Spack on Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:43 pm
While I like the concept of the Dreadknight, and at first I didn't mind the terminator harnessed on the front, I've slowly realised that I don't like the terminator or the exposed exo-skeleton pistons on the arms. I also wanted to adjust the position of the legs so that it doesn't look quite so static. Today I found myself with a bit of spare time and decided to have a crack at it.

The legs were built pretty much as stock, although the front armour above the toe was left off (this will be used on the thighs to help fill in the gaps left by the missing terminator legs). The back hoses at the top which connect to the hip piece were clipped off as they would need adjusting when the legs were posed, and the rear toe was trimmed down a little to allow the front ankle to rotate far enough to move the front leg forward. Next the blocks at the top of the legs were snipped off and glued into the hip piece, and then the tops of the legs glued to them, and glue added to the ankles. The legs were...
