S.O.T.D Round 2

by Stryder on Sun Jul 28, 2013 5:56 pm
SM- "Good evening sports fans and welcome to Slam of the Day. I am, as ever, your host, Snot Motson, and, as always, I'm joined by my colleague Alan Grotson"

AG- "Good evening Snot. Well Dreadball fans we have a fantastic line up of games tonight, including what had to be the closest game in the, albeit early stages, league so far"

SM- "Thats right Alan, while their wasn't the same amount of drama, there was plenty of action. And we begin with Scrapyard Dodgers against the Bad Moons"

AG- "The Dodgers were eager to bounce back from a landslide loss at the hands of the Iron Dreads previously, and they rushed hard and fast taking the advantage of concentration the Bad Moons pushing them deep into their own half and even seriously injuring two of the sleepy Jacks out of the game"

SM- "As sports broadcasters we cannot take sides in this sport, but those dirty rotten PILES OF JUNK SHOULD BE PUNISHED"

AG- "Snot! calm down"

SM- "Ahem...anyway...

Helghast 7th Army (IG)

by Jay on Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:31 pm
I've been building my IG steadily over the course of 4 years (blimey!) and for the most part it's been neglected, unpainted and a mess of unfinished models. No more! I've always wanted to do a sci-fi inspired army (my initial forays was to mimic the Starship Troopers of the TV show or the Halo marines) This lead to half my army being painted then being stripped after falling out with these scheme. Thus my search to create the perfect Helghast Army started in Summer 09. To that end I have stripped, dissembled nearly all my models, I bought pig iron Kolony heads, a bunch of Elysian stuff and some Helghan inspired models from war factory (I've also ordered some nice custom conversion bits from max minis). After several tests schemes I've settled on what I want, got me plenty of bits for modeling and now I've committed myself to painting 2000pts worth of units (minus vehicles) by September!

So stay tuned as I update with pictures

Age of the Emperor - The War in Golconda

by DaBoss on Mon Oct 17, 2011 8:09 am
So latest Tempus Fugitives took my Worldeaters with new Angron model to battle against the loyal forces of the Emperor.
Angron turned out to be a beast, but also found 20 man squads to be very effective.

Game 1 - Blood Angels - single planet strike
Defending my Indomitable Fortress against a horde of Blood Angel Assault marines with a couple of Custodians. Angron got into the fray - game over
Win for the Worldeaters 157 vp to 64 vp

Game 2 - Salamanders & RavenGuard - double planet strike
I was joined by a DeathGuard player from my faction.
The Salamanders were joined by some Mechanicum and launched a Teleport attack killing 19 of 20 Worldeater Devastators....
Then it all went sour for the Imperials as Angron and Typhus went on the rampage.
Win for the Warmaster Forces - 223 vp to 22 vp.

Game 3 - Dark Eldar - single heavy assault force 2500pts
Never faced Dark Eldar with the Worldeaters, had a terrible time with reserves with only Devastators and Angron on the table for 3 turns. This...
