For your consideration, we have 4 wonderful entries for this, the first month of the Age of Strife Painter of the Month competition!

That way of showing the pics is gash.. the bike is only a 2" wide pic on my giant screen. For anyone wanting to see the pics in a different way..remember you can see stuff in the gallery (right hand side you can increase the resolution/picture quality)

The lightbox has a fixed width and height. Tall images will have issues. I will look at adding a "view full size image" option to the thumbnails so that they can be opened directly in the gallery too.

Also in case nobody had noticed the results are not visible - they will only be revealed when the voting has closed.

Not a problem Cain, have added a "View full size" under each thumbnail which links to the image.

KMB, what screen res are you using and what browser? I'm using a laptop with 15" screen at 1280x960 and it's about 3" wide ... if you have a large screen the lightbox should be sizing itself to the screen and the image inside it.

Lightbox tweaked, now every lightbox overlay on entire site has a "View full size" link at the bottom.

Was a bit slow of this month. Is it for pained or is it based on a painting blog up to finished product.

Based on entering a project showing the unassembled model, or the assembled and un-primed or primed model.
WIPs are welcomed but not required.
Next contest kicks off April 1, rules will be posted that date.

I just noticed you say we can cast 2 votes. How do I cast a second one?

You should have had 4 vote boxes open, with the ability to click on 2 of them.
Our error, we should have put right in the poll to vote for up to 2 entries!
Once you cast a vote, I think Spack would have to figure out how to let you go back to add in an extra vote.

I sadly misunderstood the instructions - I put my photo into my own gallery lol! Better luck next month

we will also make it clear next month, that if you dont finish, enter it anyway!

like you for example bob, you had the fellowship entered, but if you only finished (for example) aragorn and gimli, enter those two and save the others for a later contest

this isnt just about finished entries, god knows if i hadnt finished the repaint on ra, i would have entered what i had with the explaination that i cocked up an oil wash and ended up stripping him! (my wrist is still busted from that 13 hour paintathon!), its about what you can do and how you do it

well actually its more than that, its motivation for people to pick up paint brushes again! i mean look, we got SPACK to pick up a brush! so we must be doing something right =P


and wizzer is right, first month we expected errors to creep up, a redefined set of rules will be posted up on the 1st


if there is any other feedback people would like to submit about the format of this contest, please do it before the first so we can do our best to make any changes for april's contest!

You call that doing something right?? I was holding out for a world record "not painting-a-thon"!

I guess we could look at enabling the changing vote option (did you see that option Talus? It's on the poll creation tab at the bottom), that would allow anyone who only cast one vote to amend their vote to add a second, but it would also allow anyone who casts all their votes to change it later. I can't see any reason not to allow that, especially as the results are hidden until the poll has ended.

i WAS going to edit it and enable that, but i didnt know if it would affect the results or not

So long as you don't edit the answers you can adjust the options, although I can't guarantee it won't lose the votes ...
