September 2014 Competition

Re: September 2014 Competition

You're in DL!

And that now brings the number of entrants, with 4 days until the deadline, up to a whopping 5!

C'mon you lot, I'm sure you've all got a command unit or model on your workbench waiting to get finished. Get going!!

I don't know if I will have time to finish it as the new term has started but I will give it ago out of support for the comp if nothing else! :D

I should have my finished entry posted up tomorrow...... I hate that it makes all my other gold armoured models look like crap! I really am going to have to repaint the Sanguinor, Dante and my Sanguinary guard now.... I'm not sure if I should go over all the gold in my entire BA army!

I have my final image sorted but I'm not happy with the white balance it'll do at a push but I'm going to try again with some better light and use the manual white balance settings on my camera.... If it ever stops raining!

Awesome - look forward to seeing it DL :)

I'm hoping to get Lorgar done in a few stints this week - he's probably about 10 hours off being completely finished ish....

Finger crossed you find the time to finish up on Lorgar Stu.

I've not gotten around to taking more pictures I'm just not finding the time or drive to redo them.... So without further ado here is my entry.

Thanks DL - looking like I should get some time. If not will take a pic of where it's at and submit that. I've probably got the head, cloak and weapons to do, then a quick tidy up and sort the lighting effects. It's quite a static pose, so I've kept it fairly simple - hopefully what I have planned for lighting should add some menace. That Captain looks sweet m8 - really like it :)

Seen some of frog's WIP and they are looking great. He looks a LOT nearer to completion than I am tbh, having not picked up a brush in over a week. The nearer I get to deadline, its looking less likely I'll completely finish Lorgar to where I want him to be. Hopefully the painting, photography and newborn gods will smile on me.

With roughly 27 1/2 hours to go to the deadline, I finally got the pictures done and put together.
So here is my command unit, the Scourge Desolator.

Good luck to all the entrants this month.

Looking really nice TW - must admit thus drop zone has me intrigued (I'm an epic player at heart, so the smaller scale really appeals to me)

Had an hour at Lorgar tonight, so if little miss allows it, I might make the deadline, although I think I might have to strip the presentation back a little.

Fingers crossed

Thanks Stu.

I really like Dropzone, the models are well made, the rules are clear and simple, and it's a fun game.

Hope you make the deadline, less than 24 hours to go.
