Couldn't create a topic in events so putting this here, it will be 40k afterall.

So we are going to be playing Apoc on the Sunday of the event, post here if you are wanting to play.

Please include the following info.
1. Which side your army falls under, order of disorder. Common sense prevails pm me if your unsure.

2. Max points you could bring.

I am aiming for the game to include everyone who wants to play, weather you have 500 pts or 5k, let me know and I will come up with a suggestion or 2.

Points: 3.5k each with no limits on FoC, super heavies etc. Models do not need to be painted, just basecoated.

Strategems: 1 per player plus 1 team choice plus any from datasheets etc.

Result of Tournie has effect on apoc game: Team can place 1 extra objective in any area or choose 1 extra Strategem and a veto of 1 picked enemy Strategem, Matt will decide which team gets this advantage.

Me please! Disorder.. unsure of points atm

1. I would like to play with my Khorne Daemons for Apoc. I'm guessing you would class them as 'disorder'. Or if the sides aren't balanced I don't mind switching to IG.

2. I can raise approximately 4k of Daemons/IG.

I'm up for it again, all being well. Probably Disorder (chaos) Hopefully a brass scorpion. Can raise whatever points needed.

Well I was tempted by forces of chaos (naturally)..
but my tourney list is for loyalists so loyalists it is.
I can field pretty much whatever is required...

So king is EITHER chaos demons OR guard...Right (rolls up sleeves and prepares for him to probably be chaos,although it would be fun to be on his side for once).

I can bring Blue BA and ultrama-wolves , ultrabikes and ultra/wolf mech, a few super heavys (that won't stand up to angarath)
(Or I can bring khorne/nurgle/tzeentch forces of demons and CSM..if the nurgle tide needs (they can borrow my rats if they want to go ahead with that anyway)..My orks still need a lot of work.and my nids are unusuable at mo)

I can throw together 3000 of either without blinking, not sure I should instantly think of bringing more..but could.

If I'm loyalist big thing is I can think of a way to get many invulnerable anywhere..I have a big shortage of the two most vital ingredients for competitive wyswyg smurfs (I currently lack storm shields (working on it) and autocannons for preds and dreads...hoping someone else is working on it).

Any rules on sheets? weaponry? super heavy cap etc?
I personally still hate the rapid redeployment ones(eldar tau and guard) where at the end of the game they suddenly win everything no matter whats happened up to that point. Other folks may hate the one that allows angarath and warhounds to come back into play as soon as they are killed (there is an asset that makes your most uber unit saint celestine all over the game).

Any nid players willing to step up? I've still not stood against a new nid army yet (even just on a side table whilst everyone else messes around setting up )

When it comes to working out who wins overall, 1 chaos faction may be following a course of faction action that will result in catastrophe (the farseer said so) when the doomsday device goes off.

Or perhaps, chaos is winning, so they turn on each other, to see who is boss at the end (potentially snatching the mouth of defeat from the elbow of sucess).

No matter what happens , my tzeentch CSM win, even if they die. Just part of their plan. The codex nerf? Its ok they planned that.

Sure was just trying to cater for all, but if its all players with armies on 1 side I have no problems with a big dust up.

i think we might get over subscribed, and would suggest no more than 4v4 to save on the confusion. More thant that I suggest we try and secure another table, and failing that, we grab one when we land and then share the teams out then...

There are 10 normal tables booked so another apoc game could take place across 2 or 3 of them. You're just limited to 4' wide.

To me, it depends on what each person wants from the game, e.g if a few people (spack, stunty I'm thinking of) don't want to over commit and just put 1 super heavy/a sack of tanks on (a bit like a bet). In my mind that won't tarpit down the game.Its easy to take your turn, your either in or out etc etc.
Having people bringing 10,000 guardsmen last minute as a 7th teammate will.
Although basically I reckon close doors a month before..Gives people a month to read the thread and be either in or out. Then gives those In a month for any fine tuning..

I am working on the fact we have one apoc table booked and maybe able to get another/ use a few normal ones for a 2nd linked game.

I do believe we need to cap pts and no of players but I need to know what the overall interest is first so we can work out what's going to be best, would also like to keep it fluffy if poss with no nids & IG on same side for example.

On reflection, I agree with Toby a week is too close to the event so let's make the cut off 11/02/11.

as for strategems and no of super heavy tanks, etc. I would prefer this time just to play the normal rules of Apoc. without any restrictions. We did this in our last game and not in the one before, and the game played just as well, if not better... but that could be coz Si wasn't in the 2nd (you know I luv u really Si) lol

I reckon the more SHTs and Gargantuam C's the better and the quicker the game goes. In every Apoc game I've played at AoS we have never got past turn 4, so that's 4 units the likes of Anggrath can kill at best. D weapins clea the field, again tho, they can only shoot about 4 times and then they have to scatter So my advise; don't frett too much about those types of units.... besides, it's the only time you're gonna see these models anyways, so enjoy them

I'm not sure whether I'll be able to make the weekend yet, so I won't commit to this just yet. Hopefully I'll know for sure by the deadline. If I can make it I can bring enough to fill in whichever side wants some extra firepower

I'm willing to let him swap sides.. (since yesterday we were talking about too many chaos) but yeah I think angarath can't , maybe stunty could bring his demons,and use your angarath as he is meant to be used.. alongside any other big thing he may have.
That would mean king could bring his titan down and his guard without the commisars killing them all for working for a giant freaking red beast of disorder.

Do the forces of disorder want my doomsday device (if it goes wrong its very bad.. but the (bogged down in post production hell) batrep would show that it changed the game in my favour when I whipped it out).

For my part I'd suggest we adopt my clubs rule..... Super heavies ALWAYS go apocalyptic when they blow up. It's just funny.....

I think King is gonna have to go on the side of order as he gets emotional playing against you (Bane)and Si (I wont call it the good side for obvious reasons )
