I'll give WHW a call this week to book the early 2011 event now as they are already filling up. I assume we want Sat/Sun/Mon again? Shall we go for March instead of February?

Easter Sunday is 24 April 2011 so 6 weeks back from that (roughly) is going to be half-term so there might be weekends then that cause a problem.

I'll aim for 5/6/7 March 2011 unless anyone has any objections?


Are we going to aim to push the Summer one a month too next year? It avoids school and family holidays. Go for September?

Doesn't affect me as these aren't considerations, so I pretty much endorse any date.

I've booked 12/13/14 (other dates were open gaming and we cannot book tables then).
10 tables (so 20 people) 9am-6pm all three days, although it's a year away so we can tweak things.

We can sort out food closer to the time (lunch deal like last time, evening meals in the bar etc.)

I'm main point of contact for this one. I'll also try and sort out the one later in the year too and make sure we are booked up for that in advance.

I'll be up for it, as long as nothing else pops up for that weekend.

Added to my calendar so it takes priority unless I get an amazing alternative offer.

How about some kind of narrative campaign over the sat and sun? Spreading games onto the monday as well may be difficult as while many will be able to manage a sat and sun, not all will be able to pull off the monday as well.

Yes - I was only thinking sat/sun and yes it would be a narrative driven event (overall - I still want some level of competition in there too).

If we are going for a narrative it don't really matter about people disappearing Monday aslong as we know in advance (SM chapter master to IG general, yes I will send a company to aid you but they are needed elsewhere on Monday ).

I am about to do something similar at our club so Matt I will drop you some feedback if it works.

Also, what about a singles Tournie as the double seems to be well established now, might be nice and we will have the time.

I could knock up an outline for that.
