How about.... AoS mini get-together.

High Wycombe seems central to most people. Would DaBoss and the Armageddon Inc crowd be able to host an AoS event one Saturday at some point? Should be time for a few challenge games and a chance to meet the Armageddon Inc lot.

I'm being presumptuous..but good idea?

Central? It's almost London!!! :P

I'd possibly be interested, but it would depend entirely on whichever weekend it would be on. Saturday would be easier for me than a Sunday.

I can't speak for Ljundhammer who is our ride.If he can make the journey I probably would go with him.

Didn't the last mini one (which was meant to be Tim joins spacks lot and we all float by if possible) completely not happen?
As to the north south thing, is that median or mean.. Isn't it basically between matt and king who can kick enough of their respective group arses who actually has the most group miles to travel..
(I thought redcar vs you lot= nottingham, Brum vs high wycome = nottingham.. but thats just a selfish little old me)
If its about weekends being booked up.. look to the mansfield competition?

*edit- of course this assumes that both king and spacks groups actually remember what 40k is..
Barely even lurking..

We (that is Armageddon Club) have tried to organise a group visit up to Nottingham for a days gaming a number of times before but always seems to fall through. The distance (Drivers needed), not being able to pre-book tables and the amount of time lost in travel has been the main fault to the failures. 2 hrs up and 2hrs back, lunch means at most 2 games as long as everything is organised.

Interesting to figure out the locations of respective attendees.
mattgilbert - Worthing
Spack - Birmingham
Killmaimburn - Nottingham
Others?

We have about 20+ regular gamers on our Monday night (this last monday had 12 tables and ran out of scenery to use).
So if it was hosted in High Wycombe I'm sure we could get a 10-12 players together. Would be able to get a hall hire together for a 11am start through to 9pm (most likely finish earlier - the big birthday apocalypse finished about 10pm).
Hall hire comes out at about £14.50 per hour; plenty of free parking and kitchin available.
Saturday would be more likely with everyone.

As to games - could always tempt King down to smash my Red Army FoW if they don't want to play 40K

Whats your thoughts.

It's about 45 mins to High Wycombe for me and Phil, so I'm sure we'd be interested.

I'm sure I could get at least myself and wolflord havoc up for a day trip. Plus possibly 4 others.

High Wycome is around 40mins from me (Oxfordshire) - I would be interested - though getting a 'green card' from the missus would be challenging - still with enough notice it might be possible?

I'm in London, so could be up for it. Would need to figure out the best way to get there though, as I don't drive...

I'd be interested but I'd need to secure a day pass from childcare duties.

If my daughter was a few years old I could have paid her to keep an eye on the kids, we could have had a creche running :P

Looks like a decent amount of interest.

@Daboss: if this happened, how much notice do you need to book your venue?

Last time I had plenty of time to organise but best to give at least a month or 2 notice.
As it is we are at the end of April and May is really to full of activities (for me anyway):
*Siege of Terra Campaign at WHW on the 15th May.
*Apocalypse Game with my other Group in Northampton.
*On Holiday break from 29th May - 5th June.

I'd say mid to late June would be best: 12th/19th/26th June?

I'll canvas the Armageddon Club and see what they think?
