Age of Strife

Hey all,

Ive been looking at getting into FOW for a while. It wasnt until AIW came out that it piqued my interest. However, now that the sale is on, I would like to start my entry into the game, I have never played any FOW games, let alone AIW, can anyone suggest to me the ‘Must Have Lists’ in order to enjoy AIW.

This way I can take advantage of the sale!

Tank companies all the way from this book.

Israeli's are excellent but very expensive points wise and they have abilities coming out of their ears.

UAE tank force are cheap, die really easily but you do get a lot of them and you need to re-mortgage to buy everything.
I play UAE and my 1780 list has 45 tanks in whilst my opponents Israeli list has 15.

Jordanians are now the best all round tank list in terms of numbers, quality of armour and abilities.

So IMHO I would go with a Jordanian tank list with Centurian and M48 Patton tanks.

Ill go with a Jordanian V Israeli tank list. However I have never even opened the pages of an FoW book (ill be ordering that along with my army.

So lets say, a 750pts Jordanian and 750 pts Israeli Tank list, what would that look like in terms of Force Org etc (assuming it has some force org make up).

Its worth getting the army builder from Flames of War, called forces of war.

Jordanian wise you can get approx. 6-8 tanks (Centurians and M48 Pattons) with your HQ and 2 combat platoons which you must take.

Isreali's have several different tank options you can take, but not familiar with them.

Ah, I was about to ask for that. So this is an Army Builder? Does it do more than that before I start throwing money at it. Seems a bit alien to me atm.

No, it is just an army builder but it does list the special rules if I recall.
